Ta Da! The odd occurance in the Camry of the 'reverse' gear light on the dashboard coming on when one steps on the brakes is finally fixed. This has also fixed the 1/4 intensity back-up lights (not a big problem, unless one's driveway is 150 ft. long --- LIKE OURS). Jason and Dad did some investigative work last Saturday (nice to have an electrical engineer in the fam.).
For those interested --- which is probably nobody --- the problem was two broken wires where the trunk lid hinges. I guess I open my trunk a lot. Or maybe it was those times Katie had the car. hmmm?. Well, a couple of mini wire nuts and a half a roll of electricians tape and Ta Da! (Reprise)

Everyone - your dad is amazing!!! First he has the patience of Job, he is brilliant, and then he knows what to do when he figures out what is wrong. Oh that you kids are able to take after dad in this regard. He also is able to make really snazzy pictures on the blog. Thanks DAD!!!!!
