Rachel's Birthday Continues

Rachel's Day began with the traditional parade and opening presents in bed.
Then it was a surprise venue for breakfast
Yes... it was in the tent.
We had yummy breakfast burritos and specials from T-burger in our own private backyard dining room.
Rachel was formally waited on by the resident butler..
Note the new Christmas sweater and the new/Aardvarks skirt for the birthday girl.

HAPPY NEW... BIRTHDAY

To celebrate the beautiful girl that joined our family 19 years ago... .

Caitlin's B-day

These are out of order, but we ended the night with "little ball bowling" you get three balls for every turn and the pins are never "clean" or reset until the end. It is pretty fun, but can be frustrating when you are used to getting a lot down. I had like 4 for most of the frames.
Before bowling we went to Friendlys to get some Ice cream and Uncle Peter came with us it was pretty fun.
Here I am giving my best shot at bowling, I threw all strategy out the window near the end.
Marybeth did awesome on the second game she beat everyone.
We took Caitlin to the Movies to go see Marley and Me. We blindfolded her and walked her all the way into the theater. It was really funny to watch.

This was the best. Marybeth and I love to tease so in order to see what we did to Caitlin you will just have to see the video.

Like I said before Marybeth did awesome the second game and this video proves it. With little ball bowling you get 3 balls. So if you knock them all down with 2 balls it is a spare and the third one just adds to your score. It is not easy to get a spare.

I never did very good but I had fun and that was all that mattered to me.

The hottest Helicopter around

Marybeth got the picture that I could not get, which was the person blurred with the Helicopter in focus. It is so much fun because it is obviously an indoor one so it is really nice and everyone loves to play with it.
Marybeth enjoys playing with it as well. We have used it in our bedroom and try to land on certain places in the room. It is pretty hard to control so if we get it to the right place we are pretty excited. (And thank you for the cute shirt for Mb)
But you better watch out, like I said they can be hard to control and can come up unexpectedly so you have to look out. Thanks again Mom and Dad it has been fun to play with since it is so cold outside.

THE HUMAN BURRITO

Shows what kind of fun we are having around here.

2nd year Anniversary

These are some of the gifts that Marybeth got from me today. For those of you that don't know I made a shutterfly book for Mb on my very own. It was from the years 2003-2008. It was really fun to put together, Marybeth seemed to like it a lot, I hope she did.
We were able to return to the place where it all happened. Boy are we glad that we had the weather that we did. We walked out of the temple and it was rainy and there was a lot of snow on the ground.
This isn't a great picture but I wanted to take a before and "after" do I look like I have gained weight or anything like that? or do I look the same.

Then we went to Starland and played some games and played Laser tag. It was really fun, we had the whole room to ourselves. we had a good time.

We loved the day 2 years ago.
We love the consequences of that day and the wonderful part that Robb and Marybeth are in our family.

METRO OUTING

The day after Christmas we went on a little trip to the downtown of the one of the major cities of the world.
We hopped on the Metro-Gold Line
We rode from the beginning (in Pasadena) to the end of the line.Final stop....Union Station.
Oh the glorious, simplicity of train travel.
Oh the grandeur of old train stations.
First stop was the origin of pueblo de Los Angeles.
Then we hoofed it past City Hall and thru the Los Angeles Cathedral.
The ultimate destination was Disney Concert Hall
We even enjoyed a performance in the gift shop.
Then we walked the mile back to the train station for a leisurely train ride home with a stop on the way at Panerra Bread for dinner.

A little photoshoot

This post has multiple purposes, I would be lying if the first one wasn't for me to show off my pictures, Second to show off the awesome pictures that Mb took, and to show off some of my Christmas presents. So pretty much this is a show off post from top to bottom.

Marybeth was saying that I was trying to hard to look Gangsta' I told her I am not trying that is just how I "roll."
Mabe got the new Red Sox hat with a gift card that we had left over to a hat store, I could not wait for Christmas so I could start breaking it in. The Sweatshirt from the Vans store is one I have wanted for years, I have gotten a few but I have taken them all back. This one is here to stay, and a new shirt too.
And of course the iPod. We have like 10 songs on it but I am excited to use it more in the future. I would like to hand it to Mabe for the awesome pics, but she had some help with having something awesome to take pictures of. We had a good time. I would apologize for "showing off" but I would be lying. Here's to more posts showing off. For more pictures you can go here to Marybeths photo blog.

FAMILY GATHERS

Over the past few days family has been converging at 336:
  • Katie, Dallin & Elizabeth flew in from Portland Thursday evening
  • Grandma Hodgkinson flew in from Phoenix Friday evening
  • Jeffrey & Rachel drove down from Provo Friday. The fun has begun:
  • Thursday night we assembled CA gift packages and Christmas Cards
  • Friday night we did In-N-Out and walked the Monrovia Street Fair
  • Saturday morning we did a temple session while aunt Rachel & Sarah stayed home with Elizabeth. Then Saturday evening we enjoyed each others company at (great) Grandpa C's for the Vegas Bowl with BYU (we didn't particularly enjoy the game).
Sunday was Sarah's big day:
  • Sarah - solo for the choir at church
  • Sarah - the title role in the R.S. program (see below post)
  • Sarah - super bell ringer at the Arcadia Stake Youth Bell Choir concert and a beautiful vocal solo.
  • A special part of the Bell Choir Concert was the Alumni number which included 4 super Cornwall bell ringers - blasts from the past (see above photo).
  • Sunday Dinner - Mom put on a spread (like it was no big deal) for 23: 5) Kent Cornwalls, 3) Andersons, 1) Grandma H. & 1) Grandpa C., 5) Larsons, 6) Dave Cornwalls and 2) Mostads.

MARY VISITS

Sarah portrayed a beautiful and sweet Mary for a special program today.
Sarah shared a wonderful narrative and song about the thoughts that perhaps would have been in the heart of the mother of the baby Jesus on the night that he was born.
