STAPLES DATE NIGHT

Ahh, huhhh... Saturday night was the night Mom got her bucket-list item, go to an NBA game at the Staples Center, checked off. We started out mingling with the L.A. Live crowds in the Nokia Plaza.
Then went over to take a peek (of the outside) of the Grammy Museum.
The hardest part was picking the best place to get a little bite to eat. (Note: the plaque in the sidewalk is part of the Grammy Walk of Fame.)
L.A. Live is where our favorite sports talk radio station broadcasts. So we had to check that out.
Upstairs is the ESPN fun zone. (Similar to Downtown Disney ESPN)
Finally it was time. The crowds were gathering and lining up at the Staples Center.
Our free (except for a pint of Dad's blood) Clipper's tickets got us inside.
Then we went up, up, up to our section.... Hey, the tickets were "free".
Then it was time for the show. And what a show it is/was.... Here is a glimpse...

Fun DIY Project

I have been having some fun lately by making my own necklaces. It is very fun to think of an outfit and to pick out some cute beads to coordinate! Its fun, easy, and cheap!! This one is my third, and favorite!

Hapy Late St. Patrick's Day!

p.s. Notice the necklace, it has a sibling that will be posted next!

LA LIVE - 1

Mom had her what-she-evo-wanted date to The Staples Center on Saturday night. There will be a "LA LIVE - 2" post to cover the game and other activities at L.A. Live (the "hot" area around the Staples Center). But first....
In the Noika Plaza, the main public square at L.A. Live, a special exhibit had opened just the day before. This was the world premiere showing. It is called REALIZE.
Having been educated about 'Installation Art' by the great installation artist - Jeff, Mom and I stopped to appreciate the massive conglomeration of aluminum tubes, cable and (?) punching bags(?). It looked very complex.
It was interesting from the side, but it was not until we were actually walking away from it that we looked back at the piece directly on... WOW!
It was a very fun RE-ALI-ZATION.
If you (Jeff?) want to know more about REALIZE and the aritist. Click on the logo - the top image of this post.

One of the Best things about this Birthday was my Birthday buddy. Marybeth has been that buddy for the last couple of years and she has been great. But there is something about someone that can fit just perfectly on your lap and helps you open your presents. That was a great joy of mine to have Bennett right there with me every step of the way

I was told that this Jumbo Tennis ball was picked out by Bennett himself (too bad it wasn't aWii or something like that). I must say it was the present that got the most use thus far. It is a perfect ball to roll with Bennett or to toss back an forth with Marybeth in the house while we chat.

This next present was fun for a couple of reasons. Most importantly the very fun and homeade wrapping paper. Mb had some extra butcher paper from a work project and put it to good use.

If you couldn't tell what those cute little blue spots were, they are Bennetts cute little footprints. Marybeth had Bennett practice his walking and had a cute design as well. Underneath the great paper was a Bike rack for the Car. So now we are 100% set and ready for many bike rides. As I said to many of you yesterday now all we need is "Good Weather." I think that on Bennett and Robbie days we will go on a Bike ride everytime.
Bennett and I met up with Marybeth for lunch at work, and then when she got home we went out to eat a new place down the street from where we live. It is called Joey Garlics Pizzaria, We have had many talk about it but have never been so we took the opportunity to do so last night
Bennett really wanted some pizza but he settled for some cheerios. All in all it was a great day. Marybeth did a great job making me feel so loved, as did many of you. I better enjoy this year, b/c as Jason and Stefanies card read "next year I will be old!"

Missing Portland

I got to hold Seth on his Birth Day. What a special joy. He is so beautiful and sweet.

That Beautiful family!!!

Elizabeth is such a great helper. She is so soft and gentle and knows just how to hold babies.

I had a lot of fun with these two cuties. I loved being there with them and miss them so much.

Our last day together we went on a bug finding expedition. We weren't too successful - but we had a lot of fun. Love and miss you Andersons.

8 Months Old!

Oh we love our happy smiling boy!

 He has the cutest body....EVER!

Here are his unedited dreamy blue eyes....irresistible if you ask me!

Does it seem to anyone else that Bennett is no longer taking these photo shoots seriously?  We love it!!

I can't get enough of this delicious belly and toothless grin.

At 8 months
Bennett loves
to climb
scoot
roll
pull himself up on everything
eat solids
smile
lau
talk and talk and talk
repeat sounds
play with his toys
look in the mirror
stand alone for short periods of time
patting our backs
dancing
clapping
jumping
skyping
reading-he loves books!
smiling- it needs to be mentioned twice at least!

Sometimes it seems like just yesterday that we first held him in our arms and other times it feels like we never lived without his glowing smile and contagious personality.  We should have known when he smiled the day before he turned 3 weeks old that he would never stop and we love it!  He is so much fun.  We love being down on the floor playing with him, being tackled by him and snuggling with him.  We are so in love with our little Miracle baby.  We love you Bennett!!
