First Christmas Card of the Season

Since Katie won't be home to see the Christmas Card Book - I thought I would post the first card of the season. (Maybe I"ll do more than the first card.) Shirley is right on top of things. I think having a new address helped motivate her. Aren't these cute kids!!!

Cruisin' In Paradise

We finally finished the video of our cruise, we though you might want to check it out. It was so fun, you would think you would run out of things things to do spending four days on a boat but there are so many things that we wanted to do but just didn't have enough time.

Oh Dad!!!

I just love when Dad helps with the lunches. Today he didn't pack any - but it was fun to see the bags out on the counter when I came out from finishing my lesson - dad must have needed a lunch today.

Any Confessions???

In putting the Thanksgiving things away - I thought the blog my prompt a confession about the Thanksgiving Pillow???? We'll see if any anonymous comments pop up.

Mr. and Mrs. Kent

Dad and I fell in love with all of Marybeth's sisters - but Caitlin was certainly the most expressive of the love back. She called us Mr. and Mrs. Kent (I think she is a Smallville fan) and we LOVED IT!!!

This will do for now!!!

First off, keep your socks on!! For one, it may not be as good a video as I thought and two my computer is having trouble it won't let me add text to the video without shutting down. There is a lot that needs to be explained, so I hope a few of these will be fun. This has become Marybeth and I favorite picture. If we can do it again a month from now, I just found out it is a month from today, oh my!! anyway, it is a great picture. It is funny we both ended up putting this picture on our backgrounds on our computers with out telling the other. Most of you will have to try and win over the heart of Catie(caty) Caitlin from Dad corn. as you can tell from this fun picture they were great buds. She loved to spend every second with our fun Mom and Dad everyone else better hope they get their chance, she is so much fun. as is the entire Zeller Family. Here is a picture of Marybeth and I in line to get food. I am actually going for seconds and MB is just giving me some moral support, But we had such a fun time there in Boston, and with the Ganon family, which are the parents of Maryanne, Marybeths mother. They are so neat and special, it was a thanksgiving never to be forgotten. I hope the video will come soon, I may just have to leave text out and let you figure everything out.

Taught Primary Yesterday

I substituted for Bonnie Kinch yesterday and taught the Sunbeams. It was so much fun!!!! Sister Kinch had made it very easy - everything prepared, copied, organized, but I thoroughly enjoyed these sweet spirits. My Patriarchal Blessings talks about teaching children in Primary and since I don't want to give up my day job (really my morning job) I may have to substitute a bit to help fulfill that prophecy.

Grandma Cornwall

We got this email from Grandpa yesterday - thought you would like to see it. We talked about Grandma at our Family Time.

Dear Family,

Four years ago today Mother passed into the next phase of her life. To the families that were together on Thanksgiving Day I suggested that each family should take time to remember her in what ever way they choose. As I sat in Sacrament Meeting today I fondly remembered my sweetheart, jotting down some of her virtues. Let me share them with you:

Pleasantness in her Presence
Marvelousness of her Mothering
A Beaut of a Beauty
Sincerity in her Smile
Constancy of her Care
Greatness of her Goodness
Genuineness of her Gratitude
Helpfulness of a Helpmate
An Exemplary Example
Kinetic Kindness
Deepness of Devotion
Sacredness of her Spirituality
Lots and Lots of Love

She still has all of these virtues, and you know what, the time will come when we will experience them again, enhanced. I can hardly wait. Some of you, I'm sure, will think of other virtues - share them with us. Love you all very much. Thanks to all who were in the family home for a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Dad

Thankful for Family

As I was sending these pictures to Jeffrey I thought the rest of you might like to see the cute folks who were out at Grandpa's last Thursday. This post is a few days late, but I just couldn't pass on the cute shots.

A quick review of last week

On Monday Katie came home looking a little different. She has a very fun make-up class. Tuesday night my old roommate, Chad, and his wife, Brittany, came over. We made homemade rasberry icecream and played a fun game called"Upwords". On Wednesday, Katie and I went on a fun hike up to the Y. That evening we went to a BYU basketball game, BYU ended up winning by a lot, before going to my parents for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving weekend was very relaxing and fun. One of the highlights was definitely the BYU football game. The semester is flying by. I can't believe finals are only three weeks away. We are sure looking forward to seeing you all a month from today.

Cougar spirit

We couldn't but help revel with all of you in the fun victory. The Cougar spirit has just gotten into us lately. I wish you could have all seen Katie screaming and jumping up and down. It was a priceless reaction for a priceless moment.

What A Season Ending Game!!!

I found this highlight video to piggy back on Robb's previous post. It's good. No - it's great. Have a tissue handy. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2309729676780902111&q=byu+vs+utah+2006

What a Season!!!

BYU is number 1 and I could not be happier, what a fun season it has been to be a cougar and cheer on the blue and white
This is a very very very downplayed celebration after the big victory today. add in a lot bigger smile, jumping about 2 feet off the ground and screaming as loud as possible. It was the best game I ever have seen, I have seen a lot of really good/close games, however unfortunately all of those ended in loses. What a game
I was not the only one that was happy for the W. Bronco seemed a little less stern and a little more relaxed.
This is the man of the hour, he is and will be my favorite player for a very long time I am sure, I am so happy for him and that he was able to win the "big" "come from behind" win to prove to everyone that he is one of the BYU greats.
Now if you missed the game this was the "play of the day" this is Jonny Harline catching the game winning TD pass from John Beck that he threw across his body and across almost the entire field. It was so fun, I never want to experience it again but I loved it b/c of the out come.

It is official I can legally go out of the Country!!!

It is just like in the movies. I guess there is some reality in movies
I will be honest, as not manly as this sounds, I can't help but think of "While you were sleeping" when I got this in the mail this week. To get a "stamp" in my passport. It is pretty fun and I am especially excited to use it.

Over the Hedge Reunion

The Ivy Ave raccoon family - frequent visitors to 336 - are experiencing their long anticpated family reunion. This is big news around here. Yes it is! Don't know what we will talk about around the breakfast and dinner table now.

Sudan's Somber Situation

As today was Friday, I checked the msn week in pictures, and it was moving. It opened my eyes through pictures, and a caption how bad the situation is in Darfur, Sudan, and the surrounding countries. It is so absolutely and undescribably horrific. Sorry this is so heavy, but it was laying heavy on my heart, and I think we should just be aware of what is going on around us.
I know that it is the holiday season, and that Thanksgiving was yesterday, but I want to say how thankful I am for safety, and health, and modern technology and access to modern medicine. We are so unbelievably blessed.
I don't know what I, or any of us can do to help the 4 million people that have been displaced, or killed, or harmed, but pray I suppose. I love you all, and have new appreciation and motivation to count my blessings.

Wide Spread Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2006 found the Cornwalls at the 4 corners of the nation (more acurately 3 1/2 corners). Mom and I are so thankful for you all and happy for where you are and that you are all positively and anxiously engaged....... (especially Robb and Marybeth).

Beautiful Being in Boston

Mom and Dad flew to Boston on Monday. We had a wonderful trip getting to know the Zellers/Marybeth's family and seeing her home in Duxbury (south of Boston). It was very special to go through the the regal Boston Temple with Marybeth and her folks. Robbie flew in a couple of days before us and will stay until Friday.

We are so thankful for Robb and Marybeth, that we had the chance to visit the Zellers, for cell phones (to keep in close touch with Rachel and Sarah) and for Sister Graham to host our girls.

Happy Thanksgiving
Dallin and I had a thankful turkey on our bedroom wall. Everyday we would write down what were thankful for that day. Today we are thankful for our FAMILY.
DAD
MOM
JASON
STEFANIE
PAISLEY
ROBBIE
MARYBETH
(soon to be sister)
ELDER JEFFERS
RACHEL
SARAH
We love you and miss each of you. We are grateful for the wonderful blessing you are to each of us. We thank Heavenly Father for putting us in such a wonderful family.

What a great day!

We got the cutest wedding invitation in the mail today . . . I was so excited to get the mail today, not only because my "Teen Vogue" came, but because look at what came!! I had no idea it was coming, and even if I did, I would not have expected the pleasant surprise of how stinkin' cute that it was. I am so flippin' excited, not just for going to Boston/New York, but for the wedding and for getting another big sister!!!
NOTE: I DO NOT IN ANY WAY WANT TO SLIGHT THE CUTEST THANKSGIVING CARD i HAVE EVER SEEN, which happened to come today as well! (You know who you are!)

Good Ol' Jackson Owen

Here is a link to the play by play of the 4A State championship game in Utah this afternoon with Timpview and Highland. Can you imagine more repeats of "Owen", "Owen", "Owen" when Timpview had the ball? Congrats to "the man". http://www.deseretnews.com/dn/prp/team/1,3855,5!gm!Timpview!football!b!315016698,00.html

The best job continues!!!

No, I did not get a rare disease, if you can see it, there are small BLUE dots on my hand from painting the field this evening. It was so cool. It is something I have never done before. Speaking of things never been done before we did something new to the field and you guys will be the very firsts to know, They have been painting the Y in the middle of the field like the helmet sticker every week, only this time we filled it in with blue paint. So the white Y has a blue oval around it when it has been left unpainted before. It looks so awesome. I will say it loud and proud now 59 - 10 BYU Takes this one, they will be so fired up. You heard it hear first
This hand, yes this very hand, was used to paint the BYU football field. I got my very first and last chance to paint the football field. I think it is safe to say that I have done just about anything on that field possible, besides wearing a BYU uniform, I will talk to Bronco about that. Well I decided to put a boring post on, b/c the next one will knock your socks off yes, your very own socks. Look forward to lots of pictures and a video like you have never seen before. Starring Me of course as well as the verycute and Talented Marybeth. Co-starring Sue and Kent Cornwall. Get your popcorn now!!!

Good Old Fashioned FHE

The girls had hinted that our FHE's hadn't been as formal since the beginning of school (coincidentally when Will Rogers started) so we had a good old FHE beautifully presented by dad with conducting, song, game (matching the brethren) and a great lesson with object lesson and handouts followed by yummy dessert. Wish you all had been there.
