Conference with M'boy

I know this is not a photo of "My Boy", but Paisley is cuter and I don't know if Jas would have been as cooperative in letting me take a picture of him. I drove up to Palmdale (it is closer than Florida or Boston) to have a Father/Son outing to Gen. Priesthood Session of Conf. Jason did let me treat him to Black Angus afterward.

Friday Night Lite

Mom & Dad had a nice temple trip Friday night. The extremely lite traffic and lite session added to peaceful, nice evening - with a stop a Marie Challendars on the way home.

Nursery Checklist

Next month Paisley will be old enough to go to nursery alone. Paisley and I are frequent visitors to nursery now because she can't stay in Sunday School and instead of wandering halls we go into nursery. We thought receiving a checklist for entering nursery was so funny. It includes a list of how to prepare Paisley for nursery as well as symptoms and disease that would disqualify her for attending nursery that week. We just had to share this!

Special Effects

Watch the B-day video first then this one. Anyway, the mystery Saturday, I think it was #11, was the museum of science, it was very fun. There was a temporary exhibit that had to do with animation and we really loved that one. This video was taken with MB's camera so we could not but in on WMM, b/c it downloads to quicktime. But you would stand in this little area, and it was for special effects. there was a semi-circle of cameras, it would count down from 5 then take pictures, all at the same time. Our first try was not that good but the second one, here on the video turned out better. We had a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy.

My Birthday Video, boy was it fun!!!

Sorry it has taken so long to get this on here, but here it is, this is my first time with google video so I hope that it turns out to be okay. Enjoy

"ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN"
Katie's Senior Recital started off as a "dream". (Great costume for a 8 month pregnant performer.) The "dream" started when she was 10 and her mom took her to see the National Tour of Beauty and the Beast.
The dream was to be on stage - to perform. The "real" path lead to BYU, Music - Dance - Theater major, Young Ambassadors and hundreds of voice, dance and acting classes and dozens of shows on the way.
Now it all came together, the singing, the dancing the acting (through monologues) in a production on a BYU stage.
The production starred our own Katie who produced, directed, and choreographed it all.
Katie's family, friends, fellow students, teachers, etc... all came out to see the wonderful show.Congratulation to Katie for her perseverance to realize her dream......and along the way realize her greater dream of finding the right guy, a great guy and starting their life and family together.Oh yes, Anything Can Happen along the path of life's dreams and the happenings will be good if we walk in faith, virtue and a lot of hard, hard work with a never-give-up spirit.

Take a Picture It Last Longer!!

Today was the tour of Historic Homes by the 3rd Graders from Mayflower. It was fun to hear their cute questions and have them be so interested in things around here. Dad was sweet to pull all the historic things out. I found a cook book cover that I had never seen before - I am going to start displaying and or using it!!! I LOVE IT!!! Sometimes you need someone else in your house to realize how very special it is. Thanks Dad for having us live in such a cool house (and for that gorgeous backyard). Thanks girls for helping getting things ship shape sharp.

Interesting New Project

Grandpa and I are very pleased to have heard yesterday that after weeks of competitive negotiation and promotion that Cornwall Associates is selected to design a new Hindu Worship Center in Tarzana. We very much appreciate the opportunity to serve the fine people with whom we have been conferencing. (Actually, it is already "designed" by the client, as you can see from the rendering. We will put together the complete plans and specs and get it through the City of L.A. plan check.)

For the Future

Dallin this is for you.

Not So Deep in the Heart of Texas

As many of you will recall, while we were driving around Massachusetts we made some 2007 predictions (Sorry Robb and Marybeth - if you want in on the rest of the questions let me know). We have posted the results of some of these predictions as they have come to pass (so far we have had three - Rachel's social life, Paisley's walking days) and now where are Dallin and Katie going to get an internship. Here is what you predicted: Sarah ___________, Dad - Los Angeles, Rachel - Utah, Jason - California, Dallin - Los Angeles, Mom - Los Angeles, Stefanie - New York - and the winner - KATIE - DALLAS!!! It is nice to see on the map how close Dallas is to FLORIDA!!

Burning in the backyard!!!!

I am wanting to contribute to the blog as much as possible, so I had the camera with me and decided, why not. I started the fire and burned all day a little bit of lumber and logs

You tell me, by my facial expression, does that look like it was hot?

But boy did I have fun, I smell really smoky, the smell reminded me of family outings to the beach
I wanted to keep my eye on the fire so I ate outside and sat with my legs hanging off the bridge, don't worry the water is only 4 inches deep. But that was my day in a nutshell. Marybeth had fun at work, and did her Behavior Therapy with a 3 year old for 2 hours today and will be home soon. Hope everyone is doing well.
