Jodee Cornwall

Click image above to go to obituary
We just heard the news that my dear aunt Jodee passed away on Sunday. Aunt Jodee and Uncle Allen were and are a very talented and fun family. Their children were similar age to the older Shirl Cornwall kids, so they were among my most favorite and hang-out-with-at-family-get-to-gethers cousins.

A very nice service was held today for our good friend David Marshall. We will be forever thankful for our friendship with the Marshall family and David's wonderful example of Christlike service.
As most of you know Sarah came out to visit us. And we put her to work almost the second she got here. She is a natural and she hit it off with Bennett from the get go.
We have never really left Bennett alone with anyone for a extented period of time, so we were interested to see how both Bennett and Sarah would do. As you can see they both seem to have done just fine.
We went to MA over the weekend and one of Sarahs requests was to touch the ocean since she was just in OR only a few weeks prior and touched the ocean their. So we headed to Duxbury beach. It was a nice day but not nice enough to go for a dip.
Back home Sarah went for walks with Bennett, but Bennett likes to do the walking on his own now adays and sarah would walk along side him.
They walked to the bridge.

The rain did clear up and we were able to get in a little bocce ball. It was Sarahs first time playing bocce ball but you wouldn't notice because she could roll it like the best of them. We had such a great time. Bocce ball always gets competitive but I think we all had fun.
Getting ready to go. (and no I am not flexing, my muscles naturally buldge)
We went to a couple of parks and blew a lot of bubbles and Bennett loved it all.
Sarah was the queen of getting Bennett to sleep. She seemed to have zero trouble with him so we started asking pointers from her.
We were sad to see Sarah go. She was great help to us. Bennett loved to be with her, and give big juicy kisses.

On Marybeths birthday Sarah, Bennett and I celebrated at the Imagine Nation Museum in Bristol, CT (which happens to be the home of the ESPN Campus). Unfortunately Marybeth had to work, but we had a great time. Untitled from M Cornwall on Vimeo.

Daniel's Birthday Highlights

The morning started with Elizabeth coming out of her room saying "The birthday boy is awake."  Daniel was bashful all day and hid his face every time we sang to him.
 Birthday Pancakes.
Daniel ate a happy face, dog, truck, and D pancake
2 years and 2 months
Elizabeth had a morning playdate so Mom and Daniel headed to the park.  It was such a joy to have some one on one time with my Daniel boy.  (Seth was asleep)
After the park my little 2 year hold fell fast asleep on my lap.
 Train Lunch
 Opening presents.
He got so excited about each gift and wanted to play with it right away.
Daniel had basketball cupcakes and did a great job blowing out the candles.
 He sure enjoyed the cupcake
He couldn't end the day better then going camping with his favorite person in the whole world DAD at Father's and sons.
Daniel was the youngest boy there and had a great time being with his Dada.

Pasadena Art Date Night

Mom & dad had a night on the town - Pasadena town - for their annual Art Night. There were free shuttles that cruise between 12 venues. One of our highlights, were the food trucks. Click on the above image to take you to the website, then notice the food truck listing on the right. Each one has a web-site you can (and should) check out. We enjoyed the Kamodo & the Sweet Truck. At the Alliance Française stop there was a (believe it or not) fantastique accordion player.

Look at the sign language he gave me on Saturday...  I mean come on what a sweetie.
And if thats not enough, look at this sweet face.  And the kisses I've been getting lately - aw I love him!

I just love my little boy!  He is a dreamy dreamy dream boat!  Look how sweet he is!

Got the Garden Started

Dad gave me my garden plants for Mother's Day and I spent the week preparing the spot and planting each plant with care. I think my New Year's prediction was to double the space or the amount of plants or variety of produce. I don't know if I did that - but I do have twice as many tomato plants as I did last year. Hurry tomatoes so we can have some Tomato Basil Pie - YUMMMMMMMM!!!

WHAT A Parade!

The 336ers walked down to Myrtle last night to enjoy the Monrovia Days Parade. It has been switched to Thursday evening (much to some people's chagrin) instead of the traditional Saturday morning.
We found our spot on the curb in front of the Library and waved to the City Council folks sitting on the back of their convertibles, etc... etc.... etc... Just as the Santa Fe band was passing Dad heard a vibration from the cell phone on his belt. No photo to i.d. the caller. Following "Hello", there was a sweet voice which said "Hi Dad, we got our assignments...." Well, due to the hub-bub of the parade and the out of context comment Dad was not sure exactly what was said and who was saying. Let's see sweet-voiced Sarah is sitting here at the parade. Sweet voiced Katie is traveling to Seattle with Jeffrey. Sweet-voiced Jason & Robbie are not that sweet-voiced. Sweet voiced-Rachel is.... is... is... CALLING!!! Finally recognition sets in. Dad jumps up to elude the noise, oh the noise, oh the noise, on the noise, noise, noise, noise. Dad summons Mom and blurts out, "It's Rachel!" Mom takes two seconds to double take what has been said and jumps up and both bolt toward the library entrance to escape the noise, noise, noise, noise (actually it was just fun parade sounds.) Mom & Dad were to have 5 minutes and did not know there was a limit until there were only 4 minutes left!

Our Ten Month Old!!!!

Oh Bennett.....we love you!
This little guy just keeps getting more and more fun...as we keep thinking it is not possible.

Bennett Loves:
Snuggling
Sitting on your lap as you read to him (current favorite- Goodnight Gorilla)
crawling and walking everywhere
finding his way through Mom and Dad's baby proofing
Clapping
Pointing
Saying book, ball, hi, and bye, pa and uh oh
Finding balls wherever we go
rolling, and throwing balls
bubbles
swings
finger foods
laughing
babbling
talking on the phone
bouncing
dancing to music
pushing his big truck around
squeezing stuffed animals
pulling all the DVD's off the shelf
being with Mom and Dad

 and making these adorable faces
The one above is one of my new personal favorites.  It often involves him pushing his nose against mine, making the face and making an in and out sniffing half laughing noise....IT IS SOOOOO CUTE!  Just irresistable!
The one below is just one of his many cute gum chop smiles!  Thats right, this little guy has yet to pop a tooth and I continue to enjoy every single second of that toothless grin, oh man it makes me weak at the knees just thinking about it!
