A Fun Winner

Perhaps you care as little about the Academy Awards as we do at 336, but there is one Oscar winner you may enjoy.  We did!.

St. George

Reesa and I spent the weekend in St. George, UT for the UAEA (Utah Art Education Association) Conference. Art teachers from all around the state come together to share their philosophies and practices. I went last year and was excited to have Reesa join me this year. The grant that funds my job paid for me to not only attend the conference, but also room and board which made for a fun get away. Reesa studied (mainly at Barnes and Noble) while I was at the conference. Our evenings were spent hiking, eating at the top eateries recommended on Urbanspoon, and visiting local attractions.

The St. George Tabernacle is a common attraction. It was one of the first buildings constructed in the town, preceding most homes. The craftsmanship was remarkable. 

In a restoration project, various writings were found on the wood from the ceiling.

Brigham Young's winter home is another common attraction. I took a tour last year and wanted Reesa to have the opportunity as well.

The Great Blizzard of 2013

We have offered many prayers of gratitude this morning that Jason was able to get home from work. It took an hour and a half, a couple digging out breaks and the kindness of a stranger to push him in one spot, but he is home! Needless to say we are snowed in, but we are eating cookies, so we are happy!

A "Love"ly Castle

For Valentine's Day, Jason decided to go above and beyond the normal Valentine's Day collection box and make Paisley a castle for her party. Using a small box, paper towel rolls and sugar cones I think it turned out great! Door and windows were courtesy of the Silhouette. She also took along a Valentine fit for royalty with a ruler and the phrase "you rule" on it! Super cute if we say so ourselves!

Sarah Shines

Mom and Dad traveled to Utah on Feb. 14th for a special day in the Temple (Mt. Timpanogas).  Sarah, having received her mission call, was able to go through for the first time on Feb. 15th.  It was particularly special that a number of Sarah's siblings are currently living in the Provo/Lehi area and were able to attend as well

Arcadia Stake Women's Conference

Yesterday was the Stake Women's Conference where I was able to teach a class. One of the big assignments for the presentation is to get a picture of every sister in the stake.   Much thanks to dad who HELPED ME SO MUCH!!!  It was an inspiring morning.

100th Day of Kindergarten x 2

Elizabeth's last day in Mrs Cittadino's Kindergarten class happened to be the 100th day of school.  The class had a fun party that Daniel and I were able to join in on.  Her class was so sweet and gave her a shirt with a picture of her class.  It was a hard to say good bye to all her friends. 

 (Okay harder for me then for her.)

 

 Today was Elizabeth's first day at her new school and it just so happened to be the 100th day of school.  She was able to take her necklace with 100 beads on it to school again.  She had a great day but a short day.  (In San Jose she went to school for 6 hours, now she only goes for 3.)  We are excited for Elizabeth.

I thought you guys might be interested in seeing my gift to Robbie for our Anniversary.  Maybe its TMI but it fun to have framed nice and big in our room.  It makes me fall more and more in love with him everyday.  Those are our rings and the boston temple from photos I took! I love that guy!

Our Dreamy 11 month old!

Emary is so happy and so sweet. 

She loves to snuggle and hug and kiss.  

She has learned how to pucker up and say "Ma"

She loves to follow Bennett everywhere and play hide and seek.

She climbs on EVERYTHING and is often found in places she shouldn't be.

She is so social and waves hi and bye to everyone.

She holds her hands together and out to be picked up.  Its so cute!

We love her little toothy grin. 

She loves to be free, weather it be walking through the store or sitting on the couch by herself.

She holds up clothes to herself and says oooooo.

She loves to wear hats especially Bennetts woody hat.

She is such a tiny little thing and looks so cute walking around with those skinny legs. 

She loves to rearrange the cabinets.

Whenever there is something new on the floor Emary will find it and either climb on it or carry it around.
She loves reading books and will often grab one and come sit on your lap so you can read it to her.
She loves to carry around and hug dolls and stuffed animals.

She loves to drive her car.

She laughs all the time.  Everything is funny to Emary.

We love this little sweetheart!
