9 months old!

We can't believe our little Emary is 9 months old already! She is so much fun to have around! She crawls and climbs everywhere! Her pictures are getting harder and harder to take because she is so mobile!

She is such a smiley and happy girl!

This is her "PLEASE LET ME GET AWAY" face! After we put her back in her picture taking spot and she tries to get out, we repeat this at least 10 times poor girl!
When it is rocking chair time though she just can't get enough!

It was really nice to trap her in this basket because she could only go so far!
Emary truly lights up our home!
This month Emary has learned:
That crackers are delicious
To stand on her own (she stands up and sits down and stands up again all the time)
To say more
To say ball
To say book
To point to things
To climb up, down, under and on top of everything
Her favorite place to climb around is under the kitchen table when all the chairs are pushed in (especially if Bennett is sitting in his chair with his little feet hanging down)
She loves taking baths and splashing with Bennett
She loves jumping with Mom and Dad
She loves dance parties ( we have these daily)
She is just a happy cruising girl!

Thinking of Thanksgiving

Sarah and Dad were buddies in the kitchen as Mom was O O C (Out Of Commission).  We had burnin' fun!
Thanks to Tiffany for the photos.  We forgot our camera in loading the Montana with the turkey, stuffing, two kinds of sweet potatoes, two pumpkin pies, one pecan pie, whipping cream etc.. etc...
It was not only Thanksgiving, but a special day of giving thanks for Cherie and Shirley - a double birthday.

Remembering Great Grandma

It was 10 years ago today, that Great Grandma Cornwall passed away.  Below the photo (taken on Mother's Day, 1981) are some sentiments Great Grandpa forwarded.  She is a part of us all and we miss her.
"The photo shows her beauty as others see her, but to really know her there are those that see her countenance to be descriptive of an inner beauty which is really her.  In her countenance one can visualize faith, compassion, confidence, satisfaction, determination, charity, love and appreciation.  You may wish to add to or reorder the list.  But bottom line - she was wonderful."

wednesday in wisconsin

Spencer and I flew into Milwaukee Tuesday night. Sweet Sister Twelmeyer took good care of us before we headed off to bed, only to wake up early the next morning to meet up with the Sisters Petersen.
It was a beautiful drive up north a little. There was a little fog that made everything misty and lovely. There were genuine silos and red barns. I do rather like Wisconsin.

We met at George Webb, a fancy local version of Denny's with the tastiest pancakes I've ever had. Sister Petersen and Sister Erin Petersen were there, and the four of us had a grand ol' time.
Every George Webb has two clocks, reminiscing the era when they weren't allowed to be open 24 hours, so when time was up, they just went by the other clock.
I'm pretty happy that this rendezvous happened, it was really nice to see my old friend on American soil.

Breathe Bend Be

I just love yoga so much that I will be participating in a teacher training program this January to become a certified yoga instructor. The training is through 3B Yoga here in Provo. 3B holds a competition for each training to receive a full scholarship for tuition (which is a pretty penny). The winner is chosen based on the highest amount of You Tube views of a video created and submitted by the participants.

Jeff and I have created and submitted this video. It illustrates my world of yoga.

Please take a moment to watch (and watch it again and again!). If you would be so kind, pass it along to friends and family (email it, post it on your blog or facebook wall).

Jeff recommends it be watched in HD. Thank you kindly!

New Blog Banner!

There wasn't really a way to comment on how great the new Blog Banner looks.  I decided to do a post so we could all comment. I am a little biased because of the occasion for the photo, but I think it looks so fresh. Great job Daddio.

Called To Serve

I started out my Monday in a super fantastic way.  I hiked to Monrovia Canyon Falls with 30 beautiful Sister Missionaries.  Sister Becerra had asked me to host a Sisters Conference.  It was an absolute gorgeous day.  We met dozens of people on the trail and did a lot of visiting - followed by a yummy breakfast back at our house.  These Young Women are fine ambassadors of our Savior Jesus Christ.  The California Arcadia mission is expected to get about 30 to 50 new missionaries over the next few months - 2/3's  of which are going to be sisters.  That means probably all these sisters are going to need to be trainers - and they will do a great job.

Late 8 month pictures!

Our sweet Emary is 8 months old. She is growing up so so fast.
She loves to stand and climb on anything and everything.
She is so happy ALL THE TIME!
She loves to push her walker and Bennetts car and shopping cart.
She laughs so hard whenever she is standing because she realizes it is such a fantastic achievement.
She is so chatty.  We love to hear the fun things she is saying.
Her teeth and so cute.  We love her little toothy grins!!
It has been such a busy month, she will be nine months tomorrow and we can't wait to tell you about all the fun things she has learned in the last month. She is a little smarty pants! We love our sweet Sunshine Gram!

MISSIONARY FOR A DAY

Here are the noble youth that went out from the Arcadia Stake to serve as Missionaries For A Day - 2012.  Dad went down for the mini-MTC and breakfast and then went back for dinner and  the missionary returns and reports.

N is for NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN

This little trip to BOSTON will Not soon be forgotten.  We are so excited about Robb and Marybeth's lovely new place to live.
The above view we enjoyed each morning from the "guest" room window looking across the street to the cranberry bog that is in the backyards of the neighbors on the other-side-of-the-street.
Of course, it would not be a complete trip to Duxbury without trip to Duxbury Beach... including  driving out over the old wooden bridge.
And to make the trip even more complete... horseback riding in the surf...  (Alas, that, we will look forward to doing, on a future trip.  This trip we got to very much enjoy observing it.)

That's all Folks - our little GOING from B to N.

O is for ONE ON ONE

There was always time to be with Bennett and Emary- One On One.  That is the joy of having far away family... when you get together it's for morning, noon and night.
