My Working Man!

My Husband has been working really hard. He has turned that basement upside down! It looks fantastic. Unfortunately he came home today after a hard days work with a big old gash on his head. I guess thats what happens when you work hard. I am proud of that guy!

Fun Saturday

Today was our 1 month anniversary, We did have Waffles this morning, but we decided to spare everyone pictures again of that, but we did play clue, with our brand new clue game that we got, I don't know if you can see it or not, but the characters are on the box and they are vintage it was really fun, after one game we invited the Openshaws to join us it was very fun.
For dinner we went our to eat at American Joes. The name gives the thought that it is not that great, but it was really fancy and we had a lot of fun, thanks to whom ever gave us the gift card to go there, Marybeth got a bread bowl, it sure was tasty.
Here we are, no post would be complete without a Mr. and Mrs. Blog pictures.
Marybeth had a Jewlery Party and invited the cutest girls around, it also happened to be those cute sisters of hers. They got a formal invatation and each invitee had to bring some sort of drink or something tasty to eat. They had a great time.
Then of course they wanted to show them off, some are hard to see but hopefully you can click on it and see them a little better. It was a very fun time, I unfortunately could not attend I was busy working on my talk and doing other manly things, so I did not participate. But it was a great day

Will We Dough It Again - YES WE WILL??

On Jason and Stefanie's recommendation we went to Panera Bread for Family Home Evening and we LOVED IT!!!!! We split two sandwiches the Tuscan Chicken sandwich and the Frontega Chicken Panini both were excellent. They were handing out two types of their Crispani (hand crafted pizza) so we had Sausage and peppers and roasted wild mushroom. We even splurged for dessert with a cherry scone and a cobblestone muffin. We are working on a campaign to get a franchise in Monrovia because we had to go to West Covina for this treat (which we didn't mind at all).

Lynn Haven Florida!!

Jeff got transferred and is now serving in Lynn Haven Florida which is a suburb of Panama City Florida. His new companion is Elder Wintle from Magna Utah. It sounds like a great place with a large teaching pool. We are so excited for him!!

Oh That Bridesmaid Dress

Marybeth - Thought you would want to see another darling edition of "Bridesmaid Dress Use 101". Rachel wore this cute combination all day yesterday and she looked so great. We hope the hits just keep on coming. Let's track this - it could be very fun!!!

Paisley in the Box

When a child reaches a certain weight and height limit the law states it is time to get a new car seat! Last night we did some further research and found the new car seat for Paisley. It was at Toys R Us! We took the seat out of the box so Paisley could get used to it before she had to sit in it. She is a little scared of it right now. She did have a great time in the box though! She put some toys in it and played around in there for a while. I think instead of throwing out the box we'll keep it around for a while as a fun play toy! Pictures of Paisley in the actual car seat will come at a later date! Let me tell you though, the car seat is very cute! She even has her own cup holder!

SEE THE LIGHT(S)

Another great show Friday night. Sarah and Rachel performed before a captivated Miss Paisley and her parents - Jason and Stefanie. And they stayed after the show for a sleep over so Stef and I can go to the Arcadia Stake Women's Conf. Saturday morning. One more show - Saturday night and the Lights go out for this year.

LIGHTS 2007
88 dance and voice students took to the stage for this years "Lights" recital. Rachel and Sarah are spectacular. But I guess you, the viewer will soon be the judge of that.
They provided plenty of material so make sure you have about 20 minutes to watch - or you will be late for wherever you need to go because you won't be able to stop the music!

Hot Time in the Old Town

I don't want any of you living in colder climates to be jealous - but since Grandpa Cornwall is coming to dinner before the performance tonight (and since Jason and Stefanie are coming to dinner tomorrow night - I'm killing two birds with one stone) I am barbecue'n. It was near 80 degrees today - oh those are the days that I love to live in California. Any of you come on down anytime and I'll cook you up something great!!

Another Opening of Another Show

Good luck to the three prettiest girls on the earth. Katie is opening in BYU's musical production of Oklahoma tonight and Rachel and Sarah are opening in Centre Stage's production of Lights. Dad and I are excited to sit by each other the next few nights and enjoy watching!!!

Dog Gone!!!

We have so many things to post, but we want to spread them out a little, but I had to post this. One thing I was thinking we could do every once and awhile is post funny random shots that we capture, none of that internet stuff, the real deal. First deer now dogs what is this world coming to, four legs I guess does not get you as far as it used to.

This is just a teaser, but we are working on our Acapulco Videos. They will be coming soon. they will be very fun.

OH DEER! someone tried to steal our car

I don't know if it is a concidence or not but I woke up to Riley Openshaw saying Robbie there are Deer tracks in the Driveway, I ran into the house and grabbed the camera and snapped a few to document this occasion. I am glad they only have hooves and could not open the door, and forget about trying to use the steering wheel.
I know you think that I may be making fun and made the effort to put my two little fingers in the snow and make the post but Cornwalls this is not true, this is the real deal. It snowed, not that much just enough to catch these deer in their tracks.

GOT MUSIC ?

To College Cornwalls: An article in the newpaper reported about a "music download service to any U.S. college student." ...."any student with a valid university e-mail account [i.e., ends in .edu] will be able to use the service to download music to their computer." You "will have access to Ruckus' more than 2.1 million tracks which [you] can download to [your] computer for free." You can not transfer files to a portable music player without paying a $5/mo. or $19/semester fee. If your University is one of a hundred that is part of the Ruckus' network you will also be able to download movies for free. (I am doubting BYU is part of the network.)

I checked out the site: http://www.ruckusnetwork.com/ On the right of the page is a "Free Music for College Students" banner that takes you to the sign-up screen.

Sunday Dinner

Sunday was Dallin and my first Sunday home for dinner since Christmas. We made our first slow cooker dinner; chicken, potatos, and carrots. It was so yummy and we had lots of left overs.

We couldn't have had a complete Sunday meal without red jello with bananas. Thanks for the fun traditions MOM!!! Also I made banana bread earlier for my lesson, so we had the left overs for dinner.

Somebody's sleeping on my couch said the Momma Bear!!

I went up to the turret to search, ponder and pray (that is my Sunday afternoon routine) and what did I find - Goldilocks - I mean Rachel asleep in my spot. I would take a picture of her bed and post it which would explain why she probably ventured into my clean room - but that might be too embarrassing. What a cute girl!!

Hot 3rd Sunday Tradition

It's after New Years so the pink plates (which I love) have come out - perfect for our 3rd Sunday breakfast. The 3rd Sunday is the only one that Dad is home. Yuuuuuummm!

Saturday Going...

This morning Dad & I went to the temple. Dad was set apart and trained as a Veil Worker (something that he did with the rest of the Stake Presidency) while I went through the 7:30 sesson. I missed Dad, by one station, assiting me. Then we had breakfast in the cafeteria - something both Dad and I enjoy very much.

RB + MB @ CA

Robb and Marybeth's wedding et al, has had good blog coverage. It's not that other big and important things are not happening in our lives (well, maybe not all that big and important) since then... We thought that we would share this "Muvee" of the California reception/open house for those who did not get to enjoy it in person. Our good and generous friend, Jim Swanson, took the pics and put this together as a memorial for the special time we had celebrating RB + MB. Thanks to Jim (and his assistants).

Hot Saturday Tradition

We wanted to start a tradition of Waffles every Saturday morning, but we decided that we would have some form of hot breakfast, but mostly waffles. We have a picture to show you, that is coming, that Amy Openshaw (the lady we live with) bought us a double burner and Marybeth pouring the pancakes into the frying pan.
I got the chore of mixing it all up, along with the eggs. One of the reasons we had pancakes this morning instead of Waffles was b/c we looked for our waffle maker, and it was no where to be found. Marybeth said we have one somewhere.
Let's just that we have used the "Magic Bullet" several times. We have made shakes and all kinds of things. They are so handy b/c they the things you mix them in turn into mugs. Mb loves "Orange Dream" from Jamba Juice and she made it for me the other night. This morning she made something similar but added in banana.Well the post would not be complete on the Cornwall blog without taking a picture of the food display. As you can see we have our smoothies, pancakes, eggs and oj. It was a great breakfast.
And here is the Very very very Happy married couple, enjoying our breakfast. I hope we get to post again very soon. We have plenty to blog we just do it when we have the chance.

BYU Devotional

Today, President Boyd K. Packer was the Devotional speaker. He gave a great talk on holding fast to the iron rod. He mentioned that today's world is upsidedown and as a result we need to study Lehi's dream and always be holding onto the iron rod.

This is a great talk for youth. Mom I was thinking specifically of your seminary class. He mentioned several Book of Mormon scripture mastery scriptures.

WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHIN' IN

Dad spent the day doing a thorough final inspection for the new Temecula Stake Center. The "saints" will go marching in for their first meetings this coming weekend. It is wonderful to have it come to this fruition after the 4 1/2 years we have been working on it. There were about 2 years to deal with neighborhood oppostion, hearings and meetings with the Mayor and others to mitigate the neighbor's issues. Then it was about a year to get it through plan check and bid. Finally it has been under construction for about 14 months. The Stake desperately needs it as they have been without a Stake Center since they were created nearly 4 years ago. They will immediately move in 3 large wards and a branch.

The unique steeple (cupola) is due to a height restriction for the site. The standard spire was twice too high so Cornwall Associates custom designed a copper topped dome to be compatible with the LDS standard plan colonial architecture.

p.s. This is Dad's first posted picture taken with his new cell phone camera. Not bad, not bad at all.
EAGLE EYE HAS DONE IT AGAIN

Late last night eagle eye, Katie, spotted two buck deer right infront of Wymount Terrace #199 (The Anderson's resident) last night at about 11:00 pm.

They were quick deer and got away before we could snap a picture but don't worry we got their tracks.

I know you are thinking I put my hand in the snow and made this deer track but I didn't. It is real!!!
