To the Temple with a Daughter

Mom & Dad with Dallin took sweet daughter Katie to the Temple. Katie has very much looked forward to this blessing for a long time and has frequented the temple to do baptisms for many years. With L.A. not quite yet ready we visited the Redlands temple. When making the arrangements we were concerned that it was not going to be the special, grand experience we are used to at L.A. In this smaller temple the personal and attentive treatment given was wonderful and memorable. We could not have asked for a nicer experience. We stayed on the lovely grounds until the sweet Mission President and his wife came out to lock the gates.Mom was pleased to finally be an escort (with Dad having done it three times already).

Trafalga part 2

Marybeth had a great game, she started off really great and she finished off even better, she is a natural Tiger Woods.
I on the other hand did have the only hole in one in the game, but I was not very consistent all night. I did really good on some and not so great on others. P.S. I will tell you since you are family, I was trimming my hair with scissors around the edges and I got a little too close to a piece behind my ear so I tried to make it look not as obvious but time is the only remedy for this one. But no one has said anything so far.
We got used to seeing these balls in the holes. We both had our moments, but we both did really well.
Marybeth posing before teeing off, I thought that she did a really good job of that.
And in the end it ended in a tie. it was a great way to end a game that is played by two very competitive individuals. We had a great time

Goodwood Barbeque

We went to Goodwood Barbeque, for the first time tonight. I have driving by many times before and thought that it seemed like a very fun place, and it ended up being very good food.
Marybeth ordered Prime Rib and baked potato which which looked and tasted very good, She is not a meat eater, but she is really glad that she got it!!!
I on the other hand being a very big meat eater, got a 2 meat combo meal kind of thing. I got ribs and pork and it was soooooo good.
As you can tell it is really good. really tasty too.
It was a chance to go to a new place, it is not the kind of place you would go weekly, but it is a good place to go every once in a while, I really loved it and I would recommend it to anyone.

A Night to Remember!

This was a random Friday Night, the uncut and unscripted evening. It was fun to do but even more fun to watch.

Sarah's First Day of High School

Sarah has had a first experience different than any of her siblings. She had her first day of high school be four days after her middle school promotion - because she is taking High School Summer School!!! You can tell from her face that this might not be the greatest thing in her life - but it is only for 3 weeks (12 days really). When you take pre-AP Geography it goes an entire year and you have to take Health at another time. Rachel also found herself in this position so these two girls are taking the class this summer - same time - different teachers. They walk to school, take advantage of the free food offered for breakfast and lunch and quiz each other on the material. Even though it is a different summer experience - it seems like the perfect time to fit this in.

Sarah's A Goner

Clifton Middle School Promotion

It Showered Alright!!

On my recent trip to Utah to pick up Katie and help her find a wedding dress, the home ward of Patty and EckSan Anderson put on a shower for Katie. It was thought of on Monday and was held on Thursday and I wasn't anticipating too much of a turn out - but it was amazing. They were so kind and generous. She was truly showered with so many gifts. We even had a little bit of Cornwall representation. Wendy Hodgkinson dropped by for a minute. Katherine Cornwall was a huge helper and my good friend Karen Anderson came and stayed the entire night. It was so fun to sit next to her and laugh and catch up. The big surprise of the evening was when we were taking all the gifts upstairs to leave the house and what greeted us was a torrential rain storm. Thankfully the host of the shower had umbrellas, but a big thanks goes out to Laura, Dallin's sister, who braved the rain without an umbrella and tripled our trips to the car. She was soaked, but smiling. It was wonderful. We love the Andersons!!!

A bicycle built for 2!!!

I surprised Marybeth today with a tandem bike that I rented for the day from BYU. I was so excited. You had to reserve it early in the week in order to get it for the weekend. So I did just that and hoped for great weather and it couldn't have been a better day. So I showed up on her door step with the Bike.

She was very surprised and excited and we took it out right away to cruise the town. It can be a little tough to ride but we got it down very quickly.

We wanted to take a picture of us, the usual "Marybeth and Robbie" picture but that would not get the whole bike plus us in it. So Marybeth came up with the idea of taking it this way and it looks very good. We just got back from Smiths where we made some purchases for our days adventures.

So after we biked around town we got ready for 7 peaks and biked to our favorite place, As you can see in the back ground there are so many people having fun, it almost made me want to buy one so I could always ride there.

I prepared a very light lunch: 4 pp&j's some Lays Stax (that look like pringles) and some fruit. It was another great day at 7 peaks. We had a few other passport holders joins at the peaks. We had a great time.

And no blog is complete without a "Marybeth and Robbie" picture. We had so much fun, and afterwards we changed and biked all around town, we got a lot of comments, compliments and stares. We were the talk of the town. It will be interesting to see how tired and sore we are tomorrow, but we sure had fun today.

Hello, Hello, Bye Bye...

"Hello, helllo," to Katie and Mom -- home safe from Utah and a successful trip. "Bye, Bye Dallin", says California Katie, "for a while".

Elder Cornwall and Elder Dastrup - Foster Cousins

In case you haven't heard the big news, Elder Dastrup (Jeffrey's new companion in Bonifay Florida) found out from his mom that she lived with the Shirl and Lenore Cornwalls her senior year in high school. Her family had moved away and the Cornwalls said that she could live with them. What makes this story even more interesting is that dad (Kent) took her to prom - thus the above prom picture. It is a small world. Jeffrey introduces their companionship as foster cousins. Now that is a cute story.

It's running time!!!

As some of you may know I have started to run daily, Each week I try to run a little further with less breaks. Lately I have been running to Seven Peaks, one of my new Favorite places, I then stop catch my breath and strectch if needed. Then I run the rest of the way home. Today was a great day because I did the whole thing without stopping. I wish you all could see the smile on my face when I am done, it is something to behold. Anyway, I have slowly transformed into a real deal runner. I started off running in my Workshoes from Walmart, b/c the were the best I had, I slowly merged from Basketball shorts to soccer shorts and this weekend I have nearly completed the cycle with some real deal gear. I thought I would share it with you.

To start off I got these awesome Nike AIR running shoes, I like them right when I saw them, I got them from Khols which isn't know for Running Shoes, but are known for good prices, They were a great deal, and I wore them around the house yesterday in my sunday clothes to help break them in, I got a lot of funny comments. And of course I couldn't just get any ole' shorts to go running in, I had to get some nice ones that would match my newly aquired shoes. I got 2 for1. The first ones are these really fun Nike black shorts with red and white racing stripes down the side. They are very comfy and fun. I also got these very fun and flashy red shorts to bring out the red in my fast shoes, and yes I do feel as if "I can run faster and jump higher" Sorry for the immodesty, if it is too much it can be taken off, I know it was even brave to post it, but it is so hot here that I run with my shirt in my hand. (So I apologize if I offend any of our viewers.)
Tricked ya!!! They were 2 for 1 but you probably didn't think that they were also 2 in 1. They are great, they are really comfy and it is as if I have two different pairs. I sported the black ones today so maybe tomorrow I will be as if I am running with flames coming off my thighs. I feel great, I really want to enter a 10 k or something like that, now that I have conquered the 5K as all of you have already witnessed. I will keep you updated.

WICKED - Rachel & Sarah

For a Girl's Camp fund raising Ward dinner the girls also showed off their talents. They were "wicked" (as Ron Weasley would say)!

Auld Lang Seminary 05-06

The traditional last-day-of-Seminary-Bishopric-breakfast was held Friday. It was a great year with great youth learning the Book of MormonThe youth were treated to a wonderful french toast meal.
The evening prior to the last-day-of-Seminary found the Cornwall home being T-P'd (to be accurate - Crepe Paper'd)
And DURING the breakfast Sister "C's" car had a heart attack. Oh, those kids love Sister "C"!
