We had such a wonderful time at our Mardi Gras party. Terri and her daughter Melanie totally outdid themselves. In doing a little research for Grandma's birthday, they discovered that the very first Mardi Gras was exactly 100 years, to the day, before the day of Grandma's actual birth. It was a natural. The food was so outstanding. Melanie is very experienced in Southern Cooking. The theme was evident everywhere. We know it was a lot of work and we appreciate it so much!!!! There were Cornwalls, Larsens and Hurtados and lots of fun. Everyone was really in a festive mood. With all that food we were all guaranteed a Fat Tuesday the next day.
