Patriot Concert

Mom & Dad attended an outstanding concert tonite - the 23rd Annual Patriot Concert sponsored by the Arcadia Stake. It was beyond wonderful and we wish that all the singing Cornwalls (and Andersons) could have been there.
The program was filled with Wilberg arrangements and heart swelling patriotic & folk melodies.
Minature Golfing in Dallas

Dallin, Elizabeth, and several of Dallin's coworkers went golfing last night. Both of us got a hole in one. We got through 11 holes before it started raining, then we had some pizza. It was a fun night in Dallas. (Marybeth, the giraffe is for you.)
Living in Style

Here is a picture of the first day we moved in. Everyday we feel a lot more comfortable (maybe that is because more of our bug friends are going to a better place.)

This is usually what our apartment looks like.

Hey Good lookin, Whatcha got cookin'?

OUR SWEET LITTLE NAPPER

There's no place like HOME!!!

Here are some pictures of our "home sweet home." The vaccum was completely empty when we got to Texas and that is all the dirt from just the bedroom. Oh, this apartment is going to give us great stories to tell in the future.

Here is also a family picture, with Elizabeth trying to eat my cheek. Elizabeth is also in her favorite outfite (a white onesie). We are doing all we can to keep her cool.
We finally got the pictures to load. Here are the additional pictures of the TEXAS Rodeo.

Dad - No, Mom - Yes, Dallin - No, Katie - No, Rachel - No, Sarah - No, Jason - Yes, Stefanie - Yes. I guess Jason, Stefanie and I all wanted to see you girls on T.V.

Where Will Dallin get an Internship?

Sarah - no answer, Katie - DALLAS!!!!, Dad - Los Angeles, Rachel - Utah, Jason - California, Dallin - Los Angeles, Mom - Los Angeles (wishful thinking on my part I think), Stefanie - New York.
Way to go Katie!!!

Don't Mean to Push Paisley Down on the Blog

But I was hoping to get to 100 posts this month and had a few things I thought of sharing. We are little behind on revealing predictions. So I will make a few posts to clarify some of you great guessers:
Where will Jason and Stefanie be living: Stefanie - Texas, Dallin - California, Mom - Pennsylvania, Jason - Great Lakes area, Katie - California, Dad - Los Angeles County, Sarah - Georgia and Rachel - China. Absolutely no one guessed Kansas - but we are glad you are having such a great time.

The first piece of Jeff

I had a special experience on Wednesday - picking up some luggage that Jeffrey had sent with a member of his Lynn Haven ward who was visiting her sister in So. Cal. Marguerite Perkins had been carrying Jeff's piece of luggage for a couple of weeks and since she was shortly going to head to Utah for a couple more weeks of vacation she called. I drove to San Dimas and had such a lovely visit. She had been called on a mission 20 years or so earlier from Mexico to the Los Angeles mission. She learned English at the Provo MTC and then settled in Southern California after her mission where she met her husband Rob Perkins. He is a doctor in the military and they are now stationed in Lynn Haven. She had very nice things to say about Jeff including shedding a tear when she told me about his speaking in church on Mother's Day - about his mom - it made me cry too. In peaking into the suitcase it makes me realize how you boys have really learned to pack from your dad and it has gotten me excited to see that Jeffrey and the rest of his luggage very soon.

What a difference a couple months make

Same baby in the same towel but what a difference there is. The first picture was taken when she was only weeks old. Now today Paisley is 20 months old and is not a baby anymore. She is a very curious, sweet toddler!

Thanks everyone for catching up. We have had a lot of computer "hinders" in the past couple of weeks and everyone is being a good sport.
The back tallys are all posted.
If you want excitement start back on June 15 and work your way up to the 25th.
(I will break the suspense for you a little bit - even with all the "STEP HINDERS" in the past few weeks no standings changed until a couple of days ago, but there are some teams coming on strong.) GREAT JOB TO YA'LL!
REMEMBER - HAVE FUN!

Happy Birthday Stefanie!

Happy Big 25 Stefanie! I hope you have a great day! Let us know how birthdays feel in Kansas!

Happy Birthday Stefanie!!!!

I couldn't find any pictures of Stefanie by herself. I was thinking that was a tribute to her - she likes her family and we are so happy about that. We think that Jason marrying Stefanie was the best thing he has done in his life and we love her so much. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! 25 Yahoo!!!!! Stefanie - check out one of your presents here!!!!!!

Legacy of Aprons

Sarah Ann Stradling Haws - My Great Grandmother
Hepzibah Gardiner Hodgkinson - My Great Grandmother
Mary Armina Haws Hodgkinson - My Grandmother
Beverly Rene Smith Hodgkinson - My Mother
Yesterday afternoon I was asked to speak by Barbara Terrill at a Stake meeting welcoming Young Women to Relief Society. Barbara had asked me to talk about my love for aprons and how, when I put one on, I feel like it gives me super powers - like a super hero. I have always loved aprons, and when I was preparing my remarks I figured out why - it is a tradition in our family. I enlarged these pictures for my presentation and then Sister Terrill took a picture with the girls from my seminary class in the aprons that she had made for them (bytheway - she also gave me the one I am wearing). I am going to frame these pictures of the women I love in aprons and I am not going to take my apron off when picture time comes around. I really enjoyed what Barbara Terrill wrote about the event in the Stake Relief Society newspaper - LDS Women - Write One. "Sue Cornwall was our featured speaker - and the theme was Aprons! Each girl received an apron of her own and Sue regaled us with tales of her many adventures with aprons. She also shared some old photos of her great-grandmothers, grandmother and her own mother in aprons. (And commented that the next time pictures are taken, she's not going to take off her apron!) She also had on display many of her own aprons that she has collected over the years. More importantly though, she drew parallels between aprons and our roles as women in Relief Society. She commented that an apron is her "super-hero cape." When she dons one, she feels like she can do anything! As Women, our aprons represent hard work, service and protection - just the sort of thing we do in Relief Society."

These at the last numbers with all entries reporting:
JUNE 14 TALLY (10 days ago)

1 FAB4 [22.5]
1 YBR [14]
3 CTU [33]
3 PARRS [32]
With so much going on - move to Kansas by YBR, move to Dallas by PARRS, move to complacency by a couple of FABs.... everyone has done amazingly well. Great going!
We want to catch up on the tally - for some who are interested in such things.
Here's what we are missing:
June 15 - CTU, Parrs; 16 - CTU, Mr. Parr; 17- CTU, Mr. Parr; 18 - CTU, Mr. Parr; 19 - Mr. Parr; 20 - Mr. Parr; 21 - CTU, Parrs; 22 - Parrs; 23 - Parrs.
Maybe those teams so far out ahead are giving the other teams a chance to score some points. How many days shall we give those missing posted numbers to catch up and then we tally the score with what we've got and move on?
And I'm sure NO ONE would make up numbers they forgot just to get a score, would they? - if ya got 'em, ya got 'em. There's not that much difference between 1 point and 0 points for a day. (Easy to say for those used to getting "1"s. )
It's all just for fun.

All Wapped Up

We finally unpacked all the boxes for the kitchen! The problem with that was they were covering up our banister that is way too wide for a toddler. Paisley loved to walk up to it and fit her whole body through with no problem. So now that the boxes are gone we have shrink wrapped the banister until we can get a new one in there. Hopefully this won't be like this for very long because I don't want anyone to come over and see it like this.
