Yep it Really happened!!!

Sorry it took so long to post, I had to shrink it down to about 5 mins, it was originally 13 mins. So it has been since the 25th of August!!! Robb

Here it is - the set-up and actual on-the-knee proposal as it was mapped out by Robb and his little helpers up at the Pines Ranch. Katie and Emily (MB's old roommate) were on the scene to document the series of events that led to a unexpected watery discovery. It is an intimate (from the bushes) look at the beginning of forever for Robbie Cornwall and Marybeth Zeller. From here to Boston we are all so excited for the two of them. Dad

Second Day of School

Oh those girls looked so cute on the second day of school that I just had to post them!!! I had yummy smoothies waiting for the girls when they got home from school yesterday as the news of day the tumbled out around the kitchen table. They first had to get their schedules from "MR. GUY" - all "C's" went to his room. That was fun for Rachel and she said that she introduced Sarah to him. Not too many teacher's names that you older kids would remember - but Rachel has Mr. Gubbins (Jeff's favorite Spanish teacher) for 1st period Spanish III and Sarah has Mr. Perez (Robb's favorite Spanish teacher) for ceramics. Rachel also has Mrs. Flores for math analysis - but I'm not sure she is staying there - I forgot to ask whether she was wearing a dress with roses on it - but I bet there was a 100% chance that she was. Mr. Troung is gone and there are lots of new teachers. We are hoping these girls have a fantastic year!!! GO WILDCATS!

Special Weekend!!!!

This weekend the Arcadia Stake enjoyed a spiritual feast. It was our stake conference and our conference visitors were Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and Elder Donald Tenney of the Seventy. They were there to conduct some stake business - the reorganization of the Arcadia Stake Presidency. We love so much President Corrigan, President Parson and President Crawford, but after 9 1/2 long years of service they really deserve a break. The new Stake Presidency was sustained Sunday morning - President Scott A. Magnusson, President Kent N. Cornwall first counselor and President Walter J. Steimle second counselor. Dad (and I) had some very special experiences this weekend. I am hoping that after this post dad will share some of his feelings and experiences. One great bonus of the weekend (besides sitting at the feet of Apostle Holland - something I have wanted to do since his BYU days) was to have our family rally around us. I made some calls Saturday afternoon and our kids jumped into action. Jason got a substitute for his new calling - Gospel Doctrine Teacher. Katie and Dallin jumped into the car and drove all night - Robb and Marybeth flew down Sunday morning. We had a lovely weekend enveloped and surrounded by things that are so significant to dad and me - our family and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

$32,000 PEZ

Okay family - You know when the posts are getting a little stale something about PEZ is bound to show up.

If you happen to find one of these 1982 World's Fair Astronaut pieces at a garage sale, grab it so you can auction it off and then go out a buy a house.

Its the boots and the chaps and the cowboy hats

The Friday night before the Salt Lake City reception, Katie and I had a really fun time at the rodeo in Coalville, UT. It was so much fun we would highly recommend it.

Paisley's Website

We have found a fun website for baby's and so we have made one for Paisley. It is a fun way to track her growth and fun events in her life. I think you need a password to view it because we want to keep it somewhat secure from the whole world. Please email or call us for the password so you can see her cute website!

Day 10 - August 21st - We're Home

We spent the night (or four hours of the night) at the Virgin River Hotel. We got home in time for dad to put in a full day of work. We decided that we needed to ease back into real life so it was pizza and swimming out at Grandpas. We enjoyed catching up with reading Jeff's letters. Dad also treated us to a very fun pool entrance - one that the girls and I will never never forget!!! GREAT VACATION EVERYONE!!!!

Day Nine - August 20 - Nice Sunday

Dad and Grandpa kind of had a hard night - it appears that a flu bug flew through the cabin. They are pretty resilient though. Dad gave all of us lovely father's blessings out in the grove of quakies. We should all have a great school year. We then attended the Oakley 2nd Ward in Kamas, came back to the cabin, ate, packed up and went half way home. The cabin is a beautiful place to be with the people you love the most.

Day Eight - August 19th - Day At the Cabin

We had a really fun day at the cabin - big breakfast with Dave and Katherine. Hiking with the Kent Cornwalls, games. swimming in the river and of course - a few chores.

Day 7 - August 18th - SHOPPING!

After a leisurely morning we headed to Park City to make sure that these two cute girls that are still at home had a cute outfit for the first day of school. These girls are master shoppers and found darling things right away. I think Rachel has even dreamed of her first-day-of-school outfit. (Watch the blog for that post on August 30th). Dad tried on a few things. I tried to take back the last thing in the wedding saga - but I lost the receipt somewhere in transit - ugh!!!
The highlight for me was a late lunch that we ate at Wild Oats - the Whole Foods Market of Park City. We split two things - a sandwich (a panini to be exact) and a wrap. We even had cream soda, black cherry soda and two huge cookies. We ate outside under a beautiful blue sky and it was picture perfect. Then we went into a posh store - we had to - the name of it was "Paisley Pomegranate". We were hoping that they had something with the logo on it - but they didn't, but we bragged to the owner that we had a granddaughter named Paisley. She seemed excited for us. Robb and the Dave Cornwalls came up for dinner. We played a few games but hit the hay early.

Day Six - August 17th - Divided Day

Kent went to Provo early to help Katie and Robb with some matters of business. The girls and I had a day with grandpa. We have a lovely lunch on the front deck, went on some walks and even got in a nap.

Day Five - August 16 - Provo Day

Today was a Provo day to help Katie and Dallin get a little bit more settled in their new home - WYMOUNT TERRACE. Robb left for work at 4:30 a.m. Dad left with Dallin and Katie about 10:30 a.m.. The girls and I headed down about noon. We were a bit distracted - first by the Hi Mountain Cafe.
This picture is from last year - but this year we had a lovely chat with Sister Pace. She remembered us and as a matter of fact Jon and Shirley mentioned that we were going to be in to see her when they had been there for an ice cream cone a few weeks earlier.

Then we had to stop and get gas at Smith's then on to Dairy Keen for a split sandwich and yes the most wonderful tasting Raspberry Shake I have ever had. I am salivating right now just thinking about it. When we got to Provo we got things to make Katie a door hanging (she will probably post a picture of it). Dad and Katie had been busy all day getting the car registered, getting the car fixed and finding furniture. We went to a few stores, had dinner with everyone (except Dallin - who was at work) at Durangos - and got a few things fixed up at the apartment. It was another great day.

Notice the New Name???

Notice the new name to the left??? Dallin has joined the blogging ranks. We are looking forward to posts and comments!!! We love you Dallin!!!

Day 4 -Continued and "My first post"

We had so much fun at the Cabin. The Cornwall family sure knows how to have fun. The canoe was riding pretty low when the five children were all in it. The food was great. The scenery majestic, and most important the company spectacular.

It sure is fun to be part of the blog now!!!

We Love You!!!

Day Four - August 15th - Canoe Day

Here are Katie and Dallin in their cute matching pajama bottoms. This was their only full day at the cabin. They got up and fixed us breakfast burritos aided handily by Rachel and Sarah. Robb had gotten up at 4:30 a.m. and got to work in Provo by 6:00 a.m.

Katie and Dallin are going to have to blog pictures of our trip to the Smith Morehouse Reservoir (I forgot my camera but took plenty with Katie's) where we went out on the canoe that is being stored at the cabin and where we roasted hot dogs and had a great lunch. Grandpa Cornwall came with us, Robb joined us a little bit later. A fun time was had by all. We indulged in one good hardy round of Rummy Royal (can I see the paper??). Love that cute family!!

Day Three: August 14 - Up The Weber

We all had a chance to unwind up at the "rustic" Cornwall cabin. The Anderson clan came up for dinner and adventure.

Would the Andersons be brave enough to cross the infamous swinging bridge?

Day Two: August 13th - Opening Presents

Here is the happy couple in the long long process of opening their wedding gifts. I must say that this is such a humbling process for the parents - seeing what wonderful friends you have and how generous they are to this very cute but very poor couple. It warmed my heart!!! Thank you friends and family. We began the day going to church with the Andersons, eating an amazing lunch and dinner with them and having the present opening.
Grandpa Cornwall even joined in on the festivities - he developed a close relationship with the Andersons since they were his house guests a week ago.

Day One: August 12th - Taylorsville Reception

Day one of our trip consisted of Mom, Dad, Rachel and Sarah departing 336 North Ivy at 4:00 a.m. It was a different driving set up than we have had in the past. Mom was behind the wheel of the van and behind the van was a trailer full of Katie's belongings. Her driving companion and filler of any need possible was Rachel (a great companion I might add). Dad - with his loyal companion Sarah - was behind the wheel of the RAV4. It was full of Katie and Dallin's wedding gifts. Fortunately for Katie and Dallin Grandpa Cornwall had also stopped by on Friday and filled his car with wedding gifts.

We had fun talking on the Walkie Talkies - dad told punny stories about the Moapa Indians and everything else he could think of. We arrived at Dave and Katherine's just in time to unload the trailer, change our clothes and get to the Andersons to help Katie with her hair. She was still a beautiful bride.

The Anderson Reception was truly lovely and we were surprised that we had so many friends show up - The Dave Cornwalls, Grandpa, Carol and Gordon Madsen, The Robb Richards, my growing up friend Jerri Christensen, Sue Davis, the Clark Hodgkinsons, Heather (Hodgkinson McMurray and family, the Koffords, Stacey Laursen, Jeannine and Whitney McDonnel, the Sweeneys, Mike and Kelly Thompson and the Allsops and Riches called to say it was a bad night for them. Katie had lots of friends and it was really fun that her Young Ambassador friends were there when she sang "You Are My Home" to Dallin. I included a picture of the Cottrells for Jason and Stefanie's benefit. They were very interested in your life and in Paisley. We clued them all in. It was a great first day of our trip!!!
