la di da, la di da

Well, no one really knew who I was for Halloween (Annie Hall, from the Woody Allen film of the same name, which won best picture in 1977 etc.) and yet I liked having a costume that cost nothing and had some degree of culture associated with it. And although several individuals mentioned that they weren't sure whether or not this was a costume at all - it turned out fairly well. Fortunately, at a party my friend Peter and I popped into, there was a makeshift photobooth to capture this quasi-costume.

The Real Annie Hall: I did actually have a lovely hat, but alas, it was warm, and I . . . just didn't feel like wearing it anymore.

You're my favorite deputy!

Here's my Woody getup. I got many a compliment on it. I feel like a make a pretty darn good Woody and many people agreed. I have the body type I guess. I had a lot of people help me out with my costume, letting me borrow things, mailing me things, making alterations and such. It was great.

One Festive Week

Elizabeth and Daniel wore their Fall Sunday outfits to church last week. For Family Home Evening we carved a pumpkin.
Elizabeth ready for Joy School in her Halloween shirt

The Joy School Halloween Party. Elizabeth was so excited to be Strawberry Shortcake again.

Anyone remember this song.Elizabeth and I went on a "girls" date to see Disney on Ice. She loved every minute of it.

Daniel and Elizabeth practicing their own Disney on Ice show.To finish off our week we attended our Ward Halloween Party as Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It seemed like the perfect fit for us this year since it is one of Elizabeth's favorite stories, next year we wont have the right amount of people, and it hid the pregnancy.

MHS vs 0-FER

The scores of the first three league games for our local Wildcats are:

FAM FANS

The BYU game was one of the focal points of the trip.

It stopped raining part way through the first quarter. This prompted Dad and Bennett (with his mom) to join the rest of the squad at Cougar Stadium.
Bennett seemed to enjoy his first BYU football game... but probably not quite as much as his dad.

FAM FUN

We picked up Robb and Marybeth at the Salt Lake airport on Wednesday night (more accurately - Thursday morning).
Then we headed down from the Weber to see the Provo kids. Bennett met his BYU aunts and uncle for the first time.
J-Dawgs was a must stop for lunch.
Wonderfully, Jeffrey had a soccer game scheduled for that night.
And wonderfully is how he played.

Paisley's Birthday Party

Today was Paisley first friend birthday party! It was a cupcake themed party, and it was tons of fun!! Here is her cute cake!Jarom getting ready to play pin the sprinkle on the cupcake!

Everyone got their own cupcake piggy bank to paint, they turned out lovely!

Paisley painting away. She had a lot of fun, and surprisingly didn't pick pink or purple to go on hers.

Everyone else lined up for pin the sprinkle on the cupcake!

The results of the game:

Paisley's friends were very nice and gave her some very fun toys and games. Lots of princess stuff here!
Singing and blowing out the candles.

After the party Jarom liked wearing the blind fold as a headband. Paisley LOVES her new baby alive, but she has already been told we will not be taking advantage of the diaper part of this baby! :)

Cute Daddy and Jarom!

My cake was awesome if I do say so myself. I added a pink center to the cake. I do have a cupcake mold thing that helped. I also had cupcakes from the left over batter so most kids chose a cupcake instead, so we have LOTS of cake. Anyone want to come over tonight for cake?

The party was a success! Since it was Paisley's first friend party, it was our first time running a party and I was a little nervous. Everyone paints at different speeds and such so I was nervous about the timing of things, luckily in between activities everyone wanted to go downstairs because apparently Paisley has some pretty fun toys! Yay us! It was fun but I'm glad we don't have to do this again for a few years!

Fire Fighter Paisley

Today was a field trip to the fire station! It was a blast! I was lucky enough to be one of the drivers so I got to go along and take tons of pictures. It was so much fun to see all the big fire trucks and where the firemen sleep and all sorts of things. Here are a couple pictures from the trip!

Halloween Birthday Party

Today, Elizabeth went to her best friend's Halloween birthday party. She chose to be
STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE
She has been excited to wear her costume all week and wore it most of yesterday and today. She is the cutest Strawberry Shortcake we have ever seen.
