CARRIAGING ON...

The painting around 336 has continued (several days per week).  The progress is, at times, a bit slow due to a few 'minor' repairs that need to be done.

Old houses have a way of showing their age.

First task is cut out the old rotted/termited parts, then trim, form and fit new pieces//.

 ... then a bit-o putty, primer and paint

It's rewarding to get it all fixed... but is slows the fun painting part of the job...

Sometimes a new piece of trim is easier than a lot of putty...

By the end of the work day Saturday, the west and north sides (sides for public view) were all done..

... fixed, prepped and two coats of new paint.

Ready for a backyard, garden party.
(Yes... the doors are green - slate blue is so 80s...)

Apologies to the Sister Cornwall's followers.... The letter came in on Monday, as usual, but somehow the posting was overlooked.

Our Growing Girl!

Emary is growing up fast. We actually have been really busy and took 2 month pictures but haven't gotten around to posting them until now.  So here she is

2 months

I absolutely love this next picture!  She is such a sweet and curious baby!

3 months old

She has the cutest little blue eyes.  Sometimes they are really light and other times they are dark (depending on what she is wearing- kindof like her mommy!)

She is starting to rough house with the bear a little bit.

She is even adorable when she has had it with photo shoots and she lets her true feelings show.

Emary can do lots of fun things.  She is at a very fun age!

She

giggles a lot

smiles even more

tracks people and toys

loves watching her brother

smiles when she hears our voices

talks all the time

has the sweetest little sighs

sleeps like a champ (sometimes 8 hours straight)

follows a very strict bedtime routine (she loves it)

holds toys

puts everything up to her mouth

doesn't like a pacifier or bottle

loves to be swaddled for bed

loves scratching at our hands when we hold her

tries to sit up on her own

loves to be sitting or standing for short periods of time

loves and is great at tummy time

and makes us smile all the time!

She is such a little sweetheart.  We feel so blessed to have her in our family!

Fireman Daniel's Birthday

 Good morning birthday boy

 Does he look excited to be 3 or what?

 German Pancakes and Strawberries for breakfast

 We took cupcakes to share with his friends in nursery

 Firetruck sandwich for lunch

 We invited Daniel's buddy Jake and his family over for dinner.

 

Observed the eclipse from the backyard

 Fireman Cupcakes for the Birthday Boy.

 This morning we visited a fire station with some friends.  Daniel fit right in
