Here are some of my shots from the California trip (Marybeth took the one's with me in them). It was a very fun trip with Downtown Disney, the beach (Reesa and I biked the 45 miles there), Travel Town, The Aquarium of the Pacific, and swimming at Grandpa's.
Dad, Sarah and I were fortunate enough to be given tickets to go to the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Saturday night, sit in amazing seats and watch The American Ballet Theater Company perform "The Bright Stream" with music by Shostakovich. This video will give you a taste for the music and a peek at the beautiful dancing. We loved watching all the people dining and visiting before the performances on the plaza, looking at everyone dressed up and just being together doing something so cultural.

Bennetts Big Day
We finally got around to posting about Bennetts Birthday party. We had a lot of fun and the theme was boats. Marybeth did a great job on these cakes. I thought that they turned out really well. And better yet they were very tasty, see Bennetts reaction below.
We tried to put together some Rain Gutter Regatta, we were hoping it would make a big splash but that set sail the moment we brought out the water guns. For any of you out there that tried this in scouts this may be a bit different. We wanted to use water guns instead of blowing through straws. For some reason it seemed more fun to shoot each other with water than to try and move the boat from one end to the other. Here is a little video of part of the big day. Bennett did pretty good. I think the pressure got the best of him in opening all the presents. He wanted to take his time, but he had so many helpers wanting to just rip the presents open. Then he wanted to play with the presents he got right away. Marybeth and I ended up opening the majority of his presents while he sat and watched. All in all it was a great day. Best of all was Bennett getting to have cake and ice cream for the first time, well at least cake anyway.
It was very fun to have the Andersons come to Utah. Reesa and I buzzed up to Salt Lake to spend some time with them. We decided to go to the Capital Building. This was a prime spot for photos. I had such a difficult time deciding which ones to post. Hope you enjoy.
