MISSING LEHNY

Mom & Dad are missing our baby Sarah who is in Utah visiting with her BYU sibs.
This is also another little test of Dad's slide converter. These slides are taken in Hawaii. (I guess we owe the rest of you kids a trip there one day. Altho' Sarah flew for free.)

Our Babies are Kissing

My sweet Paisley says the cutest things. I think it is incredible the things that she thinks up in her head and then spits out. Paisley has said that just like mommy she has a baby in her tummy (but hers is a girl) and so today when we were hugging she said "Mommy, our babies are kissing." Because our tummies were touching she is smart enough and cute enough to come up with that. I love that cute Paisley girl and is happy that she loves our "babies."

Elizabeth Update

Sleeping with her belly button.
Wearing Mom's shoes.
Wearing Dad's pants.
Painting her stool which she stand on constantly.
Play date with Addie.
Swimming with Daddy.

We love 11 o'clock church.

CURTAIN UP!

Finally it's CURTAIN UP for the long version of LIGHTS 2009. It's fun to watch again and again and to see our own little star performer... Sarah.

Usually just clips have been included in our video posts for the numbers in the show in which the Cornwalls had a prominent performer (and in the past we have always had 2 or more to cover). But the Kansas Cornwalls and the Anderson girls deserve, and will probably enjoy as much as possible of Aunt Sarah on Centre Stage.

DAD'S BUZZ

To respond to Mom in the previous post she insisted I share a few slides from the PowerPoint presentation I did for Ward Conference. Below are examples from the 30 slides in the presentation. Having decided just on Thursday night to use Powerpoint and having this be the first Powerpoint presentation I have ever done I must say I was pleased how it turned out.

I Know there are Busy Bees out there!

Today is a day for some busy bees. Sarah is speaking in church, Dad is doing two of the sessions for Ward Conference, Rachel is giving her lesson, Katie is doing singing time, Dallin and Jason are probably teaching the Young Men, Stefanie is helping Primary going smoothly (Are you sharing time today?) Robb and Marybeth just put on a whole breakfast for their ward and worked in the temple last night, Jeff plays the piano - Let's hear about your day today. Brag a little - we would love to hear how it went.

Ye are the Light of the World

Last night was New Beginnings. The Laurels were in charge of decorations and Sarah enlisted Dad's help to make an eight foot light house. Of course he did it in grand fashion.
Here are our beautiful Young Women.
We now have 5 Laurels. They are a beautiful bunch of girls. Celia Reed was the keynote speaker. It was a wonderful night.

President Obama

History was made today as Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States and first African American President. It has shown a dynamic change of acceptance in the United States.  It was a brief thirty years ago that the African-American race even began to be accepted as equal in this country.  Now this country has elected a President that is African-American. All are interested to see the "Change" that will occur during President Obama's term.

Here is some Obama inspired artwork:

A Very Happy Unbirthday

Since Paisley is new to primary she doesn't quite understand everything that goes on there. On Sunday we had a birthday so we sang the birthday song and this really distressed her. Last night as we tucked her into bed she said that she wanted to go to primary and have everyone sing happy birthday Paisley to her. Then she went on to talk about cake, balloons and candles and the works. So I told her today we could have an unbirthday party for her, and she was very excited. All day she has talked about it. Today we made birthday brownies and she got to blow out a candle and make a wish. She is very happy to celebrate her unbirthday!

Making Pizzas

Tonight for dinner we made english muffin pizzas. Paisley was so excited to create her very own pizza and she also took over the task of creating daddy's as well. She has had a blas watching the cheese melt in the oven and I'm sure she'll be even more excited to eat them (they are currently in the oven).

Cute side note: The other night during scripture reading Jason said the name Alma in one of the verses and Paisley said " Wait! You said Elmo??" Jason laughed and said "no, it's al-MA" So now whenever paisley says Alma she emphasizes the MA. It's pretty cute!

Baby Anderson NEWS!!!!

GIRL OR BOY???

Katie and Dallin are finding out this morning what they are having. Let's just review what everyone said in the 2009 predictions
Mom - Girl
Dad - Boy
Jason - Girl
Stefanie - Girl
Robb - Girl
Marybeth - Girl
Katie - Girl
Dallin - Boy
Jeffrey - Boy
Rachel - Girl
Sarah - Girl

We are waiting anxiously to hear the results!!!

AND THEN THERE WERE 3

The fun, festive, full holidays are over. With Katie & Dallin flying back to Portland last evening, it's back to Mom, Dad and Sarah home-alone. We sure enjoyed our Christmas visitors.
We will miss having a 20 month old bouncing around the house who makes all the true joys of life more joyful
We miss sweet, helpful, loving Grandma H. who carols, cooks, hikes, house helps and sitesees like a 29 year old and is just plain fun to be around.
We miss our BYU singles who make life fun and exciting with their happy, laughing, busy, techno lives and having them sleep in "their" beds for a few nights.
We miss Katie and Dallin who spent so much time at 336 sharing their life and time and goodly example with us, as well as their gaming and having fun all the time.
Oh, and did I mention we (especially Grandma) miss the bright, steal-the- show presence of little miss Elizabeth.

Thanks for a great Christmas family. Let's do it again sometime!!

Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam!

As Paisley is now in her 4th of life we are excited for her new step into Primary. She is the youngest and newest member of primary in our ward. Today she had a lot of fun as you can tell with her great accessories from primary. Sharing time was a fun treasure hunt which captivated her attention. During singing time her and her cute sunbeam friends were being ballerinas and twirling all around. This morning on the way to church as we talked once again of her joining primary she said "I won't go, I hate it!" very forcefully. After such a fun day I think she will be really excited to return to primary each week.

TECHNO TOGETHERNESS

Oh the wonderful wonders of technology that even tho' Jason/Stefanie/Paisley were in Kansas and Robb/Marybeth were in Boston we were "all together" on New Years Day for our annual Prediction Home Evening . The togetherness was afforded by three lap tops + one computer + four web cams. Oh! Don't we live in a marvelous age?

HAPPY 2009

After partying past midnight we started the new year on the Rose Parade route. Jeffrey, Sarah and Dad left home at 5:30 am. Jeffrey sold parking spots at Dad's office. (Tough times have dropped the going rate from $20 last year to $10 this year - for a sell-out.) Sarah saved a spot on the south... shady side... of the Colorado Blvd. And all the rest enjoyed the flowers, bands and horses.
