IT'S A WRAP!!!

Yes - We finished filming another Seminary Video. The name of the video for this year is "The Chronicles of Zarahemla". It cover the 100-year reign of Zeniff, Noah and Limhi - there are plenty of great stories in that 100 years - fights, dancing girls and great escapes. I tried to have a real positive attitude about it this year - usually it is very taxing on my constitution and I did pretty well until Thursday when I'm afraid my anxiety may have showed through a little bit, but today was a great day - we followed today's final filming with a wrap party with Breakfast Pizza provided by Sister M. and goodies for St. Patrick's Day and April Atherton's birthday. Brother Mike Miller was there filming us filming and wants to put part of that in the video. Now the fun part starts - editing. I have been thinking of Jeffrey so much in pondering about the editing. I just don't know if I can do it without him - he really has had creative control for the past 6 years!!! That's right Jeff - I give you all the credit - I was just a puppet in the editing booth.

Recognize any of those costumes? Or those people?

That is quite a getup for being a Nephite warrior!

  1. I must say that the costumes are really elaborate this year. Did you get more, or were they donated, or did people bring their own? It looks like it is going to be a great one. I am excited to see it. Way to go another year in the books, or almost in the books

  2. I invested in a couple of new pieces. I made all new wicked priest hats - kind of like the one that Taylor Hoopes is wearing - you will have to see that in the big Abinadi scene. I redid the entire Relief Society room to be Noah's throne room. Sister Miramontes is very gracious to let me use the McKendrick Nativity costumes so that is where some of the new ones came from. I also invested in the King of the Lamanites costumes that Lauren Miramontes is wearing. She is the only one that could look that beautiful in fringe.

  3. Has anyone heard any rumors that the 3 Nephites (and possibly more) are hanging out at the Mormon church in Monrovia?

  4. I have spent the entire afternoon folding and sorting the costumes from the Seminary video. They filled the entire van - floor to ceiling, every seat except the driver's seat. One of the things that we used this morning were the ceramic cups, bowls and vases that Robb and Katie made in high school. We used them for the scene where the Lamanite guards get drunk at the back pass and Limhi and his people escape. Look for those great props when you watch the movie - Thanks Robb and Katie!!
