Monday was Grandma's birthday. I'm sure she wouldn't mind sharing that she turned 79!!! Wow - if I can look that great at 79 I will be thrilled. We got up early and had breakfast with Katie before we had to take her to the Boulder Creek Stake Center. Grandma let us eat some of her delicious precious grapefruit right off the tree and then we had french toast, bacon and fresh squeezed orange juice. Rachel and I went to Terri's house to prepare for the Mardi Gras and dad and Sarah were left to complete some things on Grandma's Honey-do list. They did get a lot of things done, but not without the enormous help of Grandma. Dad even said that I would have wilted under the huge amount of work that Grandma did - that is why she looks so refreshingly radiant in these pictures. She was the belle of the ball at the party at Terri's. (Maybe she has her eyes closed because she was so exhausted from filling 5-gallon buckets full of dirt.) We are thankful that she is our wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. (We have thought she was a great grandmother all along.)

We love Grandma, yes we do! It was so nice to be there for her birthday and be inspired by her humor, good works and ability to labor non stop.
