I read in 1 Nephi 19:9:
"And the world, because of the iniquity, shall judge him to be a thing of naught; wherefore scorge him, and he suffereth it, the and they smite Him and he suffereth it. Yeah they spit upon him, and he suffereth it, because of his loving kindness and his long-suffering towards the children of men."
I love this because all these things happened because he loved us and was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that we are "taken care of." I don't think we realize what he did for us or what anyone does for us for that matter.
I am sure that we do not realize what it took for him who had at his command angelic legions, who were at the ready to defend him; who could instantly call down lightnings or earthquakes from the elements that He created; to patiently endure because he knew what it meant for us, and He loved us enough to suffer what was required so that we could have the reward.
ReplyDeleteYeah it is hard to sometimes comprehend as well as understand fully everything that made it possible for us to become who we are and will someday become.
