Quicksilver Falls Short
It was an exciting game down at the indoor field in Provo, Utah. Robbie, Marybeth, and I arrived early. I could not find our captain anywhere and I had no idea who else was on our team, so we had a shaky start. Luckily I recognized a guy from my ward. Captain Pat arrived just before we started. We didn't have any subs when the other team had a surplus. Let’s just say we got our work out for the day. Robbie was by far the best player on the field and I am not exaggerating. He was modest and had to play defense because our defense and actually our offensive needed assistance. We lost about 3 to 6. Marybeth also put her moves on the field. I once again should not tell anyone that I have played before because every time I got the ball it was taken away. Although we lost it was very fun. If we never win at least we will get in shape. Robbie can tell you his version of the game. There were some overly aggressive players on the other team. I look forward to a fun season. It will be a blessing for me to spend more time with Robbie and Marybeth. (Sorry Marybeth there weren't any closer pictures of you. Thanks to Marybeth's friend Ashley we were able to have pictures since all three of us were playing the whole game.)

What you needed was a cheering section. Sounds fun you kids.
ReplyDeleteI just had to comment today...my username is really nice when you read it backwards???? check it out. Anyway, its been so fun to add things and see things added to this blog. Its also been really fun to spend some extra time with Katie....working out! We did have fun last night. I must add and I think Robb would add this too, some of the guys on the other team weren't too sportsmanlike....one even got taken out and given a yellow card.....oops! Anyway I must say I hope we get some subs next game. I don't think any of us were ready for that long work out. Oh and I agree, Robbie was BY FAR the best player on the field. I think I heard, "watch the guy in the black shirt" like 100 times. They knew they were done for if he got the ball. Anyway, I hope everything is well for you at home! Have a great weekend Love, Marybeth
ReplyDeletewhoops I guess you can't see my login name....as you can se I've never commented before.....its anohail....thats liahona backwards.
ReplyDeleteI sure would like to meet this guy that you guys have been talking about. He sounds really good. I would like to show him a move or two. As for myself I was tired about few minutes into the game, 9:00PM is too late, you don't have any energy left. Anyway we did have fun. That is enough ROBBLOG for now
ReplyDeleteKatie, I know you did not take the pictures but let me use this as a teaching moment for you digital camera - take it OFF the flash when shooting scenes like the sports field that turned out dark. When the flash is on the camera thinks it will light things up, which it cann't if they are that far away. If you flash turns off the same as ours you do it like this: Push the top of the cursor button. A bunch of icons show up at the top of the screen. The first one is a lightning bolt. Push the top of the cursor button again. This will put a circle with a slash on the lightning bolt. Thus the flash is off. Try this if you do not a main subject within 25 feet of you. Good shooting.
ReplyDeleteMarybeth: How fun to have you make comments on the blog!!! With that modest Robb I'm glad someone that was there told us how fantastic he was!!! (You Go Guy in the Black Shirt!!) Thanks for hanging out with our kids!!
