Upgrade AVG

Click on the above image to go to cnet to download the new version of AVG, just out. This is a new version so you cannot just update your 8.5 version. Click "Download" and follow all the prompts.

• You want the "BASIC FREE EDITION".
• I suggest you DON'T want the "Free Trial, Premium" 9.0 Edition. (It's NOT free.)

• On the second screen - after you click the "DownLoad Now" next to the green square - DON'T click anything except the little click here in the middle of the screen.
• On the next window that pops up click "Save File".
  
• I suggest you DON'T install the AVG/Yahoo toolbar (when prompted).
• When downloaded you will need to Restart you computer.
• Immediately after the Restart a new "Optimizing" feature will run. It takes 10 - 15 minutes
