A night in Bethlehem

Well if they were giving out best dressed we would have received 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize as well as honorable mention. They were great outfits and we made them look even better. For those of you that don't know we had a ward party, and it was "A Night in Bethlehem."
Here is the happy couple. We had a sheet to hang up as a backdrop to help make it a little more authentic.
Here I am in all my glory. I was more than thrilled to be able to wear sandals. There are a few things that made it to the blog but not to the party. My wonderful beard is one of Marybeth's headbands. It did not make it to the party. And I am not wearing too much underneath on top. I wanted it to look more authentic for the picture. I did put something on for the party. I didn't want anyone to feel bad for what I was showing.
Marybeth was very cute. She did a great job putting her outfit together. She looked like she was transported from that time.
Here is a more accurate picture of the time. In the olden days I am sure they didn't smile. We just wanted it to be as accurate as possible. Thank you mom so much for the costumes they were great we got a lot of compliments.

  2. You two could have been the leads... well, maybe not the leads, but definitely front row walk-ons... in a Cecil B. DeMille blockbuster. It's fun to see you really got into the parts. And you know Mom's costumes are used to placing 1st, etc... But they have never looked better than on you two.

  3. You guys really maximized the costumes that were brought up. WOW!! You guys look fantastic. Thanks for documenting it. Marybeth - what you did with the head scarf - that has fashion designer written all over it.
