I LOVE A PARADE...

Yes!... Thursday night was the fun and festive MONROVIA CHRISTMAS PARADE down Myrtle Ave. While waiting for the start ,Mom & Dad visited a shop that moved into the old pet store spot. We complimented the proprietor on his sparkling toy store, saying we had not noticed it before. "That's because we just opened 30 minutes ago!", he exclaimed. The colorful toys are reminiscent of yesteryear - nothing you would probably ever find in Toys R Us.
Mom & Dad found a prominent spot on the curb. (Yes, we intentionally got the Boxx Jeweler clock in the background of the photo.)
Our dancing and singing Sarah soon paraded by with her Centre Stage elf buddies.
Sarah hung out with her friend Allyson Smith from Duarte II Ward.
Of course it was candy cane hot chocolate and whipping cream at home afterward. (Note: The friends we invited over bombed.)
For you distant Monrovians this video will give you a little hometown holiday taste of what you missed. It features the award winning MHS marching band.

  2. We had fun. The question will be - will Dad and I be sitting on the curb in 2010???
