It is quite bitter sweet to announce the passing of Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin. He died last night at the grand age of 91 years old in his home at about 11:30 p.m. The cause of death is age. He was a great man and will be greatly missed. We Love You!
Thanks Jeffrey. We will certainly miss Elder Wirthlin. In our 5th Sunday lesson just two days ago we used his talk from October Conference - COME WHAT MAY - AND LOVE IT. I so am glad we did. I don't know if it is me, but in the last few years I have grown to look forward to his talks. They seemed to be sweet, personal and endearing.
What a great man. I have been reading about his life - what an amazing guy. I am happy for him - enduring to the end (especially after just watching his UTES win).
