The day after Christmas we went on a little trip to the downtown of the one of the major cities of the world.
We hopped on the Metro-Gold Line
We rode from the beginning (in Pasadena) to the end of the line.
Final stop....Union Station.
Oh the glorious, simplicity of train travel.
Oh the grandeur of old train stations.
First stop was the origin of pueblo de Los Angeles.
Then we hoofed it past City Hall and thru the Los Angeles Cathedral.
The ultimate destination was Disney Concert Hall
We even enjoyed a performance in the gift shop.
Then we walked the mile back to the train station for a leisurely train ride home with a stop on the way at Panerra Bread for dinner.
We had a really swell day. Glad to know that we have some amazing walkers - a 19-month old, an 80 year old and a pregnant mom.
