Why pay to watch when you can Get paid?

This is a great view from the stands, early in the morning before fans even thought about waking up and getting ready to attend the game. Let me tell you the veiw is so much better down on the field. I have to tell you that Todd told us we had the best job in the world, b/c our job is to WATCH THE GAME!!! We had to be ready for field goals or P.A.T's. When I heard that I said that this job is from heaven.
This is the outfit I have to wear on the field, bummer? I think not. These hats are the brand new hats for this year, and Todd said at the end of the year we get to keep them!!!! It was so amazing, I was less then "10 yds" away from more than half the touchdowns, I am thinking about high Five'in the players when they score next time. It rain, so the shirt and hat are still wet but it was so much fun. I didn't get any action shots of me, the first game was to worrisome. I never chanted harder for BYU's defense so we wouldn't have to raise up the nets, they are so heavy. But I had a plenty of opportunities and was able to relax, I did get some video, so we may have to settle for a few pictures every now and then and then a huge video. But it was so fun

  1. I have never listened to the game with such intensity - I felt like John Beck's mom!!! That is how important this job is. When the lightening started and they called the game - all I thought about was my baby standing next to the medal goal post. Dad and I kept speculating what side you were on - do you think he hoisted the net on that one???? Dad was calculating how many times you did it. We are excited for you - how was watching the game from down low? When I called you last night you were asleep - it must have been a pretty exhausting day. We love you ROBB!!!

  2. I do know that the posts are made out of metal not medal (they are probably made of plastic or something) - but I did think that this might be a good excuse to go and see the game - see our son in action. I'll tell dad to get the Ogilvie connection fired up!! I always wanted to watch one of you kids at work.

  3. Yep, I was keeping track. I figured in the first two scores, since BYU scored in the 1st quarter and Tulsa scored in the second quarter that you pulled the net up for the PAT twice or zero. Then BYU started scoring in every quarter and I couldn't keep track. If you ever know what side of the field you will be on let us know. I think the annoucers are always on the west and they often say which way- left to right or right to left the play is going. So if we know if you are on the north or south we will double cheer for scoring drives. Sure is fun to tell people our son plays an important role in the scoring of BYU football.

  4. Wow I didn't expect those reactions from you guys, to be honest it made me smile really big sitting here at the computer on campus. I unfortunately am on the north side which is left to the announcer, I have the responsibility of hoisting up the advertisement of allstate that they put on the net which I am told makes it a lot heavier, I don't know anything else, but I was on the side that did it zero at first and not twice. But the view from the field was way better than I thought it would be, it was awesome, so so so so so good, I am so lucky, I had to pinch myself to make sure it was real, A funny quick story is some I knew in a previous ward got some friends to chant my name right before the players came back on the field, and when the net was really wet everyone said they wanted to help, to be honest I wish they did, near the end. But it was so great

  6. Okay, that is another tale to tell our friends that before the BYU football team runs out onto the field the name being chanted from the stands is Robbie.. Robbie.. Rpbbie.. I would say that IS pretty darn fun!
