Some of you are probably asking who in the world is that. If you are at all familiar with Oklahoma she is the one with the very annoying laugh. I have been wondering what the director is tring to say.
I am happy with the part. She has the most lines besides the three female "leads." There were several girls that could have easily been cast for this role but Tim chose me which was very nice.
So that you get a better idea, I found a website that discribed Gertie this way...
GERTIE: Another flirt whose presence is always announced by her ear-piercing laugh. Like Annie, she just wants to get married to someone.
If anyone who is free the end of January we would love visitors. (Laurey's parents had just booked a cruise for that week, so please don't anyone book a cruise!!!!!)
Congratulations our dear Katie. I am sure mom and I can change our cruise plans. This seems like a perfect part for you right now.
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you that I am especially delighted. Katie has already become practicing on her laugh. An extra little bonus for me is that she doesn't have to kiss somebody else on stage. I am looking forward to a fun show.
