Today the Monrovia Ward had the mantle pass from Bishop Cornwall to BISHOP STEVENSON!!! He will be a great bishop!! He called as his first counselor - Craig Heslop - and second counselor - Bjorn Dodd. We love all three of these men. Dad has served for the past 7 1/2 years and we as a family have felt blessed from his service and hopefully the Monrovia Ward benefited from dad's great leadership. Dad and I both spoke in church along with our great friend Perry Hoopes and the new Bishopric. There are some bitter sweet feelings - I hope dad makes some comments about that - but we love and sustain these new men and will be praying for their success.

I am so pleased with turning the little Monrovia flock over to Bishop Stevenson. He is head and shoulders above me!
