Mom said that I can't drive around my baby until she's properly cleaned and checked up. I hosed down and wiped up, and when I thought I was done, Dad decided to put on a few finishing touches;
An "eye-sore" was how he categorized the unsightly wear on the car's door rims. All of that was spray-painted away, but not until after MUCH taping and securing, as seen below.
After that little project, it was time for the real business-getting to know which fluids to check when. There's the cooling, steering, oil, transmission, and of course, gas!
Then, the ol' tires needed to be checked. Dad let me try my hand at testing the tire pressure, and they were all a little bit low, so we pumped 'em up.
See, Dad let me do something!
Oh the shaggin wagon. I just took a spin in it with Rachel to tank it up and by golly - it is a nice car. Dad said Rachel and I might be fighting to drive it. Now that it is all fixed up and clean - I hope that it can make the drive to MHS and to the studio - it probably won't be able to make it past the Monrovia border - but if it could go to those two places that would be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWow Rach-bach, the wagon is even getting a new paint job??? you are going to be the coolest driver in all of Souther California. I am excited to see the finished product. Way to go.
ReplyDeleteWay to be a woman Rachel and check the fluids. When I just got my license my Dad would make my sister and me rotate the tires! Hopefully you can steer clear of that!
ReplyDeleteRach save these pictures to show your husband that you are good with cars. Love YA!!!
ReplyDeleteOh... whether she admits it or not, Kaite always has the same thing in the back of her head and reminds us as well. I am joking!!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I just wanted to mention that I noticed that there is a difference between the current picture of you in the driver seat and the one earlier that is very similar. We can play the game where you have two similar pictures but there are slight differences to see if you can se what they are. P.P.S I already won but there is 2nd place.
ReplyDeleteRobb, You are one very sharp and observant guy. You definately deserve 1st prize. And the question now is?........
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion Stef. Rotating the tires, changing the oil and a brake job in Saturday after next Rachel.
Can we get in line for the brake job too, and if there is time our tires need help too.
ReplyDeleteSure Jas. I'll bet Rachel will be more than happy to barter a 2 wheel brake job for 2 hours of baby sitting miss Paisley Ann.
