At the wrestling match yesterday Sister Hoopes was amazed that I was interested in staying at the match all day. Then she uttered the question - Did any of your kids play sports? Well - I'm sure glad that I have hanging proof of how many years I have sat in the stands - and how I miss it and loved every single game. This isn't a very Sundayish post - but walking down the hall taking pictures of the girls reminded me of it.
Oh, Mom! I was sitting there right with ya. What great kids, athletic kids we have. Who else can count up 25 player years of just soccer alone?
ReplyDeleteJeff - for your information I made this sports wreath and gave it to dad for Christmas. I had seen something like this hanging in Joanie Smith's house (you know Ryan - Smitty and Cameron's mom.) I have been waiting until we were all done with AYSO and that appears to be this year. Dad moved the Eagle scout stuff - you are now over the bathroom door (right where you belong j.k.) - and the sports wreath and Paisley's picture graces the eagle wall. All you brought us much sports joy. We love you!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have shown the picture to a few people and they all agree that it was a great idea and that it was really cute. Thank you for keeping those and especially for "staying the whole time" whenever there was a cornwall on the field or in the pool.
