Blood Sweat and Tears

Blood, sweat and tears set the scene at San Marino High School Gym yesterday where mom spent most of the day. It was the Rio Hondo League Wrestling Tournament. Three of my seminary students are wrestlers and there are three more in Sister Miramontes' class. The humidity in the air as you walked into the gym was almost visible. It didn't smell as bad as the day I picked Jeffrey up from Mr. Avedesian's room when he was wrestling, but it was pretty permeating. If you are at all interested in the study of human emotion - this was a place where you could have a show from extreme joy, to collapse with dejection and tears. It was well worth the conditions because our Monrovia Ward Young Men did so well. All four of the boys from the Monrovia Ward got first place in league. Dad and Rachel even got in on some of the final matches. GO CATS!!!
