It was another big day, which started off with a big climb. Actually, there were two big climbs. They brought us to about 1,000 feet above sea level, which we could observe as we went up. It was nice to get those out of the way, because the rest of the ride was relatively flat with rolling hills and a few smaller climbs. Our pitstop for the day was the sea elephant refuge. It was the quite the site. We rode 70 miles and are staying in Morro Bay.

Thank you SO MUCH for the updates. This is so wonderful. I love love love being included.
ReplyDeleteJeff and Reesa had not checked in for a couple of days. (Someone was getting a little worried... we won't mention who that might have been.) It was a matter of being in areas with no cell service...if one can imagine such a place in California these days. This also prevented the daily posting updates, which are done from Reesa's smart phone.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the updates it is so fun to be able to see what you are doing and how far you are traveling. We are inspired by your grit and determination and we ourselves went out for a bike ride as well all the way to the end of the street and back, maybe we will join you in the future. ReplyDeleteI was just a little worried about my two favorite long-distance bikers. So glad you are O.K. and seeing such amazing sites.
