Bay to LA: Day 8
I know these posts may be getting a bit monotonous, but we only have two more days after this until we arrive at our final destination! (Santa Monica Pier). These last three days are big ones trying to make it down the rest of the way. Today we rode 85 miles from Morro Bay to Lompoc. We stayed inland so it was a hot sunny day. We were tempted to just keep riding so we could pass the 100 mile mark and get our first century done, but that will have to wait for another time. This is a photo of the mission in San Louis Obispo, which we rode through in the morning.

It seems pretty certain that the Day 6 pin (a.k.a. "F") is not the point of their destination on that day. The Day 6 post mentions Big Sur and that is where the "F" pin is spotted. They certainly went further as the distance between "F" and "G" is too great, based on other incidental information.
