Bay to LA: Day Two

Today's destination was New Brighton State Park near Santa Cruz. We made ourselves breakfast using our little stove, broke down camp and took off down Highway 1. Goodness it was a lovely day for a ride! There was a light layer of mist for most of the morning, and the haze eventually burned off to brighten up the day a bit. There were some pretty wicked climbs and lots of rolling hills. Both Jeff and I felt really good about our ability to climb. We made really good time so we went to the Santa Cruz pier for a while. After that it was just a few miles to our campground. It is so lovely. We are overlooking the ocean and nestled in a patch of trees.
