We had a lovely day at 1213 on Monday. It was the first Labor Day since 1980 that we hadn't taken kids from 336 - but we still managed to have a good time because so many others came. We had The Jon Nees, The Davie Nees, The Kevin Cornwalls, Lissy, The Alvords, The Chris Cornwalls, The Jon Cornwalls, Grandpa, me and dad. (plus a couple of girlfriends). Reports were that the swimming pool felt like a bathtub, we had a wonderful lunch and since Grandpa is going to be gone on his 83rd birthday - we had a parade and a few words of wisdom from the birthday boy. What a beautiful place to hang out, what an easy place to accommodate a crowd and what a nice family to be a part of. (p.s. Sarah - Jannon moved into your spot at the teenage table.)
We missed the Kent Cornwall kids being with us... and you all missed Mom's gravy steak sandwiches (Great Grandma Cornwall's famous, yummy recipe).
ReplyDeleteMy spot has been filled. I am so sad, but I will be there for other holidays so I will just have to wait.
