Some Snapshots of Life

This is the chateau that's about a 30 minute walk away from our house. Louis XIV lived here for a short time and the grounds are lovely and quite extensive.

This is the church/school/anything else we may need. It was built in the 1600's (that's older than america) and it's absolutely stunning.

This is from our boat tour the first day. The Seine is lovely, and people just come out in droves (particularly affectionate companies) to sit on the very edge of the river and absorb simple pleasures of Paris.

This is one of many many bridges, and those little angels are HUGE. When I crossed this bridge I was taken aback at how big and magnificient it (and really all of Paris) is.

  1. Oh, those snapshots of life are just what one's picturesque mind's-eye might imagine of France. I am glad your eyes, in reality, are seeing and appreciating such a lovely and historical place.
