It's from Le Gay Choc (all implicatives are true) and it's a pistachio chocolate pastry. The french rather love their pistachio in pastries, it's kind of all over the place. Anyway, it was very chocolatey and very green despite the surprising lack of pistachio taste. I'm trying to not over do it, but yes, I ate the whole thing by myself (i'm lucky i could snag a picture before it was fully consumed) but I figure, when in Paris . . .
Rach: Before you read this I want to say I'm JK. We love to hear and see any and everything from you, from Paris, from France,,, but I did notice that out of your first 4 posts - 2 have been about food and 1 about graffiti and street people. It's all interesting and don't stop sharing it all.... but are you experiencing things classy and/or historic?
ReplyDeleteNow not JK - The pastry looks really yummy. Pistachio flavored stuff usually goes fairly low on my cuisine selection list, but hey, if the French made it, it's probably wonderful.
What a vivid expression of art in food. It looks gorgeous and I bet it tasted even better. Disregard your silly dad (at least in the food department) and just post away.
ReplyDeleteCome on, we've all seen the lovely pictures of paris, and i can post those if you'd like, but i figure i can show you what you'll really see when in paris!
