Religious Photo Project Preview

So I have a photo project due Saturday night about photos with religious themes. I need to choose four photos, and I can take more, but I figured I'd do a little preview and ask for feedback . . . so, voila! And actually they don't need to be B&W, but most of the time I can't help myself. Bad, yeah.

We also have to do some writing, so for this one I was thinking I could talk about cleansing: the true source and worldly fix-its etc.
This one could be about juxtaposition between religious/secular and church/state.

I actually have no idea about this one. It would probably be just meat to support the theme I go with.

I kind of just adore this photo - the symmetry and the shadow of the cross etc.

Maybe something about light, turning toward the true light etc.

This is just a reincarnation of the one from above (without the same stellar composition.)

These are the backs (fronts?) of the chairs where people kneel to repent. The light came into the room and I couldn't help but snap something.

I thought this could just be an ironic comparision between the world- "do not come near" versus the savior's "come unto me" as shown by the little relief on the altar.

*by the way, the last photo I turned in was presented in class as a stellar example (with a few others) of great work. I was pretty excited.

  2. 1,4,5,8. I think the first is definitely your strongest piece as a composition. I do like the irony of number 4 as well as the symmetry of number 5. So those are my four picks in my professional opinion. Great work. I'm glad you got the stellar example for the other picture. It sure deserved it. It was a great shot. You are so cool.
