For the first time ever the Seminary Video (Church History/D&C this year) is posted on the blog. Now all those alumni can enjoy the good old memories with Sister C. - the wrist band invitations, the Cultural Hall filled with high school peers, the great breakfast burritos and making it on the big screen themselves in yesteryear.
Thanks dad - enjoy everyone!!! I have a love-hate relationship with the video and breakfast. I am so in the love part when it is done and everything comes together so well. What a great year of seminary!!
ReplyDeleteI mentioned A Lamanite's Tale in my talk on Sunday! It got a good laugh out of the congregation. Melanie and I had a good time reminiscing.
ReplyDeleteI really hope that all our alumni who are able to view will make a comment and talk about their year!!! A Lamanite's Tale was such a good one - what else can you do when you have 11 girls!!! I still remember having those Taquito lunches. Those were the best. Thanks Hannah!!! By the way - how did it fit into your talk????
ReplyDeleteMan Alive, Dad corn said that it was one of the best, and that is what people always say every time about everything, but I have to agree, great story, great footage, great editing, great use of the building, camera angles, I couldn't tell that it was not filmed on a set. Great job great job I loved it
ReplyDeleteMom where have those moves been hiding? I know that we joked about this earlier, but they were really fun. thanks for posting
Somehow, those in Southern CA, know how to make great movies. That was very enjoyable to watch, and I am not just talking about moves smooth moves.
ReplyDeleteThis video is hillarious! Academy award winner for sure. Too bad you had to cut out some parts. I don't know what I'm going to do without seminary.
ReplyDeleteJosh - I think my favorite part of you is your dancing at the end - I'm glad I got to see that side of you before you graduated!!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute. Good job everyone! I remember doing Back to the Future (Church history) and Titanic--but I'm not sure what the Titanic one was. Old Testament maybe? Anyway it was very fun to make them. I also remember one year when I was in Sis Holmes's class the video was Princess Bride. And I'm not sure whether this was in multiple videos but I also have a memory of Sis Holmes shaking her fist at the camera (and maybe saying "die, die"?).
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to watch those. Someday maybe!
I also have to add that I still remember most of the scripture mastery songs. When I taught 12-year-old Sunday School and the subject was Teachings of the Living Prophets I taught them Amos 3:7 and they asked if we could sing it every Sunday (so we did).
(I believe there was some sort of treat involved for those who had it memorized, but of course that wouldn't have anything to do with their enthusiasm for the song)
ReplyDeleteEliza - Thanks for the post - Yes the Titanic Year was Jonah and the Whale - we rocked the Miller's boat in their back yard - made a trip to the beach and even played "Go Fish" with Victor (you were very cute in that scene). Maybe we will have to post all of the videos in the slow months of the Cornwall Comings and Goings. I'm glad you cute kids have fond memories of those days!!! I sure do.
