First Easter in Denver
I am still in the Easter mood - hope you don't mind a Throwback Thursday with an Easter theme. I think this picture was taken on Easter 1966. We had moved to Denver from Bountiful in August of 1965. This picture was taken out on the front lawn of our new house. I don't remember the dress very well, but I do remember the red shoes. You had to use a button hook to fasten the strap. I remember feeling pretty old fashioned and had to keep my button hook near by. My mom always made sure we had a new dress on Easter. Barb and I were usually matching. Nice curled hair don't you think? In looking at this hair and our hair in other pictures, I was always a bang girl and Barb was always sans bangs. I'm not sure why it was that way then and continues to be that way now, but it is.

ReplyDeleteThis post is gold. I've thought about it everyday since it was posted but haven't commented. I love how cute these girls are, and I LOVED hearing about the bangs.
