Wendy's Blessing

Our little darling was blessed on Sunday, July 27th and it was marvelous. Getting to spend this special day with so much family made it all the sweeter. The timing couldn't have been more perfect with an overlap of Robbie and Marybeth  and my brother and his family's visits to Utah. Of course both sets of grandparents made the trip plus Aunt Madison. We had been anticipating this day for quite a while and tried to savor every moment as the day went on.

Wendy did quite well with having such a big day, although she did have bit of a meltdown in the midst of taking photos. We can't blame the girl, it was a bit toasty outside and I think anyone would be camera-ed out by the end of taking so many photos with family. This photo happens to showcase the lovely bracelet Wendy was given by Grandma and Grandpa Cornwall.

For this special day Wendy wore a beautiful handmade dress crafted by her Grandmother Cornwall. Everything about it was just magnificent, from the pin tucks to the Peter Pan collar to the simple white fabric. It was so wonderful to see our little girl in a dress made with so much love.

The day ended with a family luncheon hosted at the Anderson's abode. It was a pleasant gathering for our parents and siblings to continue celebrating this happy day. Oh what a happy day it was.
