Cornwall Cabin 2014 #1

Robbie, Marybeth, Bennett and Emary decided it was about time to make a trip to Utah. They filled their time with many wonderful things (which we hope they post about). But one of the main intentions for their visit was the cabin. Marybeth and the kids flew in a week early to get in some extra visiting and activities. Robbie joined the gang later that week. As seen previously it was good timing for Wendy's blessing.  Monday started a week-long stay at the cabin. I think it's safe to say it was a pretty special week. Mom, Dad, and the Robb Corns drove up Monday night. We headed up Tuesday morning. Our trip included a must-do activity...a bike ride. It was the first of what Jeff called the Tour de Cabin. He had been wanting to ride between Provo and the cabin, but in the end Wendy and I dropped him off in Midway (near the old Hodgkinson Cabin) and picked him at New Lane Road (dubbed the Cabin-to-Cabin ride).  Jeff didn't want to miss Wendy's first drive down the road to the ranch, although she ended up missing it as she was asleep. It was a rainy day, perfect for cozying up in a mountain cabin. As soon as the weather cooperated, Bennett and Emary were ready to try their luck at fishing. I think those kids enjoyed themselves. It was also a perfect evening for a stroll around the ranch and a stop to feed the horses. It was so wonderful being up in the mountains with family. Getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life was so refreshing. Wendy loved being at the cabin and Grandma and Grandpa loved having their newest grand baby at the cabin. Oh it was a marvelous first day at the cabin.
