All the Whos in Monrovia like Christmas a lot
They like ribbons and bows and fun party spots.
All the Whos in the Ward, all the Whos tall and small
All the Whos joined as one in a festive decked hall.
They did first make a visit with ol' Santy Clause.
Each Who sat on his lap for a wish sharing pause.
Then on to the hall, decorated with lights.
All the Whos looking forward to a fun party night.
The table was spread with Tamales - what joy!
There were plenty, all kinds, for each Who girl and boy.
Yummy rice, beans and salad were set on the spread,
And desserts to fill each from their toes to their head.
But that is not all, no, no, no not in the least,
Ah, the grand center piece was the rare Who-roast beast.
After all had their fill, the hall started ringing.
As the Primary Whos on the stage began singing.
Twas a marvelous night for the Christmasy feast.
One will not soon forget -- the great crowd or roast beast.
It was quite a party - WOW. I think dad captured the essence of it in his great poem.
ReplyDeleteWowee Wow! That was a party worthy of such an epic poem! And the roast beast . . . best part (of the poem and the party).
