REAPING IN SEATTLE 8

Yes, yes... you were all saying, "but wait, there was one more day we haven't seen".

The first stop on this last day was every kid's (and outdoors-man's) favorite place - Cabella's. It was stocked full of wild animals (and the things one needs to obtain wild animals for stuffing.)
This Cabella's is special, along with it's North American animals on display it has an African exhibit. Tho' some doubted, there it was with elephants and zebras and....
...lions!
Almost a bigger hit than the stuffed animal exhibits was the tent showroom. Every fabric abode was tried out from the king size to the small size.
Oh boy... these sleeping pads were really comfy!
Final stop was the shooting gallery. Everyone dropped a token or two to plunk away at the targets in the old west scene.
In the afternoon we figured we just had not gotten close enough to Puget Sound... down at the water's edge. Reesa gave us a lead to Priest Point Park. It had a winding trail down to the rocky beach.
The shoreline was a fun spot to look for tiny crabs, and shells and watch the tide rapidly come in.
This particular spot had a fine view of the capitol building on the far horizon. A place we had just visited the day before.
A pretty fun and pretty pretty piece of real Washingtonia.
There were these cool glider swings in the campgrounds at the top of the trail. And intriguing hollow trees (in the background).
But for our group, a hit is always... the playground... and this one had a pirate ship.
Nice for the moms. . .
. . . fun for the kids!
Frisbee flyin' for the dads and Sarah.
Ahoy. It was a nice finale.
And so ends this tellers tale of the Cornwall's Comings and Goings to Seattle/Olympia Washington. (There is plenty of room for others to share their pictures and tell their tales....)

  1. Cabella's looked so fun. I'm sad we missed it. The tents looked like a hoot to explore. I really liked the tree video Daddio. Nice wrap-around and folksy soundtrack.
