It wouldn't be June 2nd without a celebration of Jason's birthday. (He was a good sport receiving gifts that were to add fun for all, especially the little ones, at "The Manor".)
Ah yes... The Manor... first thing each morning and throughout each day the kids ran out back on the deck to check out the horses in the neighboring pasture.
In fact it wasn't just the kids... everyone enjoyed the lovely view, particularly when it wasn't drizzling.
Dallin was the only brave soul to "enjoy" the UNHEATED lap pool. It was a (brief) cool morning swim, accompanied by some hearty groans.
Breakfast (in fact all the meals) were highlights every day. Mom Cornwall did a grand, grand, grand job planning, shopping for and chefing the Manor meals.
Playing with the always-fun-to-be-around Emary was a given before heading off to the day's activities.
This Saturday happened to be the day of the Duck Dash at Tumwater Falls (on the Deschutes River).
The lovely walk along the river was a scenic highlight.

The bridges at both ends of the trail allowed walkers to go downstream on one side and upstream on the other side.
It was a community carnival, with lots and lots of (free) activities for all the kids...
... fun things for kids... big and small. The premiere event was... of course... the Duck Dash. Over 12,000 rubber ducks (each sponsored by a $5 donator) are dropped into the river. Major prizes are awarded for the first duck to reach the finish line down stream. Great Grandpa C. generously purchased a block of 10 ducks so there was a lot of rooting going on for the Cornwall ducks.
Back at The Manor, the fun didn't stop, with the Cornwall Olympics... administered by the local Olympic Committee - MOM! The above event, one of the few adult events, was getting the Oreo from the competitor's forehead to the their mouth without any hands. Sarah was the winner of this event.
All the kids were awarded gold medals in a special... yet brief... ceremony.
Fun treats for fun kids prior to bed.Oh, boy, what will we do tomorrow? Well... tomorrow is Sunday... so that will be going to the Ward in which Reesa grew up in Tumwater and enjoying being together all day.
That was a great day - Thanks Grandpa and Terri for buying us ducks!!! Love love love the last picture of those three oldest grandkids.
