  1. OHH my goodness! ! ! I have never seen fawn in person before! I loved that you continued the Bambi music, so perfect.

  2. It all looks so charming and bucolic - but they eat my roses and it drives me nuts!! (I'd even make a deal with them and put out food in exchange for them not eating my flowers!!)

  3. It's definitely not too charming, in real life, that is for sure. This year since the mommy deer tends to hang out in our yard rather than just pass through and nip off all the rose petals, and agapantha blossoms and tender apricot leaves and the tomato plant buds, ALL the shrubbery is being gnawed down to branch skeletons. On top of that when one is out doing some (futile) gardening the little fawns POP out from their cover, in the back yard or the front yard. It's a bit startling. Apparently the mommy dear feels quite comfortable leaving her babies alone for stretches while she goes and devastates someone else's garden. They needn't pop out as they are completely camouflaged even when one is a couple of feet from them. It certainly got not-fun since about 100 deer visits ago.

  4. Dad you left out the biggest news of all - this deer didn't just have twins - she had triplets - right in the our next door neighbor's back yard. Since they have noisy little kids next door these four deer have taken to stay in our yard and eat my garden and my flowers!!!

  5. Elizabeth and Daniel love watching this video but I don't think they realize that those Fawns are in Grandma and Grandpa's yard.
