Today would have been my dad's 87th birthday. I thought a lot and read a lot about my dad in preparation for my talk on Father's Day. It made me miss him and admire him even more.
Melvin J. Hodgkinson was/is one of the finest men I have ever had the pleasure to know. I have particularly missed him in these past several years as I would have very much enjoyed conversing with him regarding priesthood leadership.
Well now I know why everyone said Robbie looked like him when we were visiting with some of his relatives. I can see it in the shape of his face and his smile a little. What a handsome man. I really wish I could have met him. I will just have to rely on Robbie and Bennett to tell me about him.
