MB, The story was read right from the old time storybook from our parlor bookshelf. There are so many versions out there who knows which is the authentic one from the Brothers Grimm.

I agree with Mary-beth. No matter what version you read, it was bit morbid. Anyways, it was really fun! Good acting family!
