Beautiful Autumn!

I never realized how much I was absolutely enamored by Autumn until I was fully exposed to deciduous trees. They are lovely.
I will be walking on campus and feel compelled to just stop and soak in how gorgeous everything looks.
I will admit that I am particularly in love with the Maeser building. It is the honors headquarters, and is a small building that I simply adore.
There are a fair bit of leaves all over. Plenty to crunch on the way to class.
The colors are awe-inspiring. Now granted I did edit these and there has been a wee bit of "enhancement," but nonetheless, you can't enhance something that was never there!
Although I miss the warmer Autumns of California, I am trying to appreciate every turning leaf that I can.

  1. There is a legacy of loving the Maeser building in our family. One of the first times we (my family) toured the campus - a few years before I went there. My dad drove around showing off his alma mater but the only building name he could remember was the Maeser building - everything else seemed new to him??? Your dad also loved the Maeser building - in the olden days it housed the Lamanite program - remember he took Lamanite English which met only two times a week so that he could have Fridays off to GO SKIING!!!!! Glad you love fall - it is so subtle in California you could definitely miss it.

  2. I had an office in the Maeser building when I taught Freshman English at BYU.

I loved it too - it felt so collegiate!!
